Michael Beschloss, your thoughts?

Baier : Karl, you were at George W. Bush's , side when that President committed U.S. forces to Afghanistan in 2001, similarities and differences?
Rove : Yes Bret, the similarities are stark, DeSantis and Bush both laid out goals and the ultimate objective, in our case, it was to flush out Al-Qaeda and eliminate Osama Bin-Laden, it took nearly another 10 years before we were eventually able to get him, in this case, if you look at North Korea Jihad, their objective is to create terror, they succeeded, but failed, as we found that the missile fired at Yokota, had a nuclear payload, which thankfully didn't detonate. But the president is determined not to give them another opportunity and he's fortunate that Xi Jinping is willing to collaborate in this mission.
Baier : Amy, let's look at this speech, plus the back and fro over Nancy Pelosi , along with Kamala Harris now inserting herself into the story, how do Democrats fare?
Walter : The President is in a position, where all President's like to be, during rally round the flag moment, once again  Democrat brand is being hurt, and no matter what they do or don't do, it's the same result, DeSantis and his party come up smelling like Rose's. Also the fact, that twice within one week Kamala Harris is the subject of criticism for her negative comments directed at Marco Rubio and those supporting Nancy Pelosi , a Democrat lawmaker, suggested that Harris needs to essentially butt out!
Baier : Britt Hume, your thoughts?
Hume : The President I think is now considered the perfect fit for the presidency, this was on display tonight and this speech cements his position as the commander-in-chief we all prefer; as for Kamala Harris , she in the view of many, even within her own party, cements her position as the person who deserved to lose last November; I heard from one Democrat who is also Californian, he stated "Kamala Harris running for Governor, is something like a hole in the head, we don't  need it! We would just sooner have her not run for Governor, for her being Governor would not be good for California!". I think the president hit it out of the ball-park tonight with his speech".

NEWS REPORTS, AIR RAIDS IN PYONGYANG  UNDERWAY : Within hours of President Ron DeSantis's speech announcing the commencement of military operations against North Korea, Operation Clean Sweep was underway, F-18 aircraft from the aircraft carrier's USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT,  USS RONALD REAGAN as well USS NIMITZ , were delivering payloads of destruction over specific targets along North Korea's Western coasts. Already landing craft were being deployed with Marines from the III Marine expeditionary force, meanwhile units from China's own PLA were beginning their own deployment Eastern coast.

U.S. Marines landing on the beaches at Wonsan, on the East coast of North Korea; first time since 1953, that U.S. Forces have seen combat in Korea.





Shandong , one of the three aircraft carrier's of the PLAN (People's Liberation Army Navy , in the Yellow Sea, off shore on North Korea's West coast. The  The Xinhau News Agency , announced that units of the PLA (People's Liberation Army , commenced landing operations at T'aet'an-up. The Commander of the III Marine Expeditionary Force, Lt. Gen. James Bierman , reported, "...So far we have engaged with sporadic resistance from what we can conclude, are elements of North Korea Jihad and dissident North Korean People's Army Units, overall they appear not to have the manpower or equpment to offer the resistance we had expected".

PROMINENT REPUBLICAN POLLSTER, IN OVERNIGHT POLLING, INDICATES APPROVAL OF PRESIDENT'S HANDLING OF CRISIS, Kristen Lynne Soltis Anderson , a prominent Republican pollster, state's that Polling conducted overnight since the President's speech, indicates support over his handling of the crisis.

TWO FORMER PRESIDENT'S OFFER ENCOURAGEMENT AND WORD OF ADVISE TO THE PRESIDENT:Former President's  George W.Bush and Barack Obama , were fulsome in their  praise for President  Ron DeSantis,  and the tone of his speech, and suggested
that he "clearly  defined the mission"  and offered some bipartisan advise, "Don't sweat the details, that's the job of the military, they know what is required, just be there to offer support...above all don't spend too much time in the Situation Room, but the First Lady will have something to say about that!"

WEDNESDAY APRIL 16 2025

U.S. FORCES CONTINUE THERE ADVANCED INLAND : Units of the 2nd and 25th Infantry Divisions steadily advance inland, from Wonsan, where they joined the III Marine Expeditionary Force.  Meanwhile aircraft of the 8th Fighter Wing, offering potential air support, if any North Korean aircraft attempt to launch defensive activities. However current assessments by U.S. Intelligence, is that U.S. have quickly established air superiority, as most, if not all  North Korean aircraft have been destroyed by the earlier bombing campaigns in the days leading up to Operation Clean Sweep . "Have no illusions, as we get closer to Pyongyang, we expect a stiffening of resistance by both North Korean Jihad & those North Korean military units aligned to them, but we intend to prevail" were the comments offered by Lieut. Gen. George W. Smith , Commander of the III Marine Expeditionary Force.

DEMOCRATS HAVE ANOTHER TWO CANDIDATES DECLARING THERE INTEREST FOR GOVERNOR: In New Jersey, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver , will need to see off a challenge from Steve Fulop if she expects to be her party's nominee in facing Jack Ciatarelli . However, many political observers suspect that Fulop might have his eye on the Lieutenant Governorship instead, as Oliver basically has the donor base locked down, and is supported by the party's establishment. Meanwhile in California, Xavier Becerra will have company in the party's primary next year, as the state's Lieutenant Governor, Eleni Kounalakis has thrown her hat into the ring. Meanwhile no word from Kamala Harris and her intentions.

POLLING IN FLORIDA'S SPECIAL ELECTIONS, INDICATES REPUBLICAN'S ARE ON TRACK TO HOLD HOUSE SEATS : With less than a week to go before polling day in Florida's three congressional districts, (19th, 21st & 28th), Republican's are on track to hold each of the three district's. Al Cardenas , a prominent political strategist, has stated, "Democrats , are taking on water, and with polling averages this bad, I can understand why the party pulled its spending in all district's...and you know that if they're suffering polling deficits in the 28th of all place's, then you know it's gonna be bad". Cardenas , who is married to Anna Navarro who's known to be hyperpartisan, and was a virulent Anti-Trumperhas been especially muted when it comes to President DeSantis , shares her husband's views on Democratic fortune's as of late, remarked "Unfortunately for the Democrats they have lost the trust of average every day voter's, they're not speaking the language that used to help them, DeSantis is able to, and so too can his party!"

SCALISE SCHEDULE'S A HOUSE VOTE TO RESCIND PELOSI'S CONGRESSIONAL RESOLUTION TO RESTRICT A PRESIDENTIAL WAR POWER'S AUTHORITY : In, what is recognized as a rebuke to Former House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi , current House Speaker, Steve Scalise , has scheduled a house vote, to rescind this binding resolution curtailing Presidential war powers authority, the Bill is expected to easily gain passage  in a vote which will be held on Friday. For her part, Pelosi angrily hit out at Scalise's move, "...this is a vote motivated by spite and vindictiveness, and he (Scalise ), fails to understand my decision was done to primarily curtail presidential abuse of certain powers, Trump was engaging in such activities, for political reasons alone!". The former President, who had his twitter ban removed, as soon as entrepreneur Elon Musk purchased Twitter, took to his twitter account, to slam Pelosi as well, "Nasty Nancy hates the idea that she was a failure as Speaker, good job Sleepy Joe couldn't do things that real President's could do #MAGA"

COUNTDOWN TO SPECIAL ELECTIONS IN FLORIDA AND THE UNVEILING OF RUBIO-SINEMA BORDER SECURITY LEGISLATION: With both the three Florida Special Election's and the unveiling of Rubio-Sinema Border Security Bill around the corner, the House of Representatives is expected to vote on legislation that will restore presidential war powers authority, which was rescinded in January, 2020 by a House vote instigated by then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi .

I know that @2016, but referring to Steve Fulop deciding to challenge Sheila Oliver for the nomination for Governor, he's likely angling to getting chosen by Oliver   as there's almost two months to primary day.

FRIDAY APRIL 18 2025

UNITS OF 2ND INFANTRY DIVISION HAVE CAPTURED ELEMENTS OF NORTH KOREAN JIHAD AT PUNGGYE-RI , The 2nd Infantry Division, advanced into Punggye-ri in the North East part of North Korea and after a longer than expected engagement with elements of North Korean Jihad, divisional units captured and isolated the Punggye-ri nuclear test site. IAEA inspectors will conduct an inspection of the site and establish if there is weapon grade material at the site.
The Pentagon has stated, "...the objective of Operation Clean Sweep, is to ensure that we not only eliminate  North Korea Jihad, but also acquire control of all known facilities, involved in the research, development, manufacture and testing of nuclear weapon grade material"

IAEA INSPECTORS AT PUNGGYE-RI,  REPORTS THAT PUNGGYE-RI WASN'T JUST A NUCLEAR TESTING FACILITY, BUT ALSO A MANUFACTURING & STORAGE FACILITY : At a press conference in Washington DC, Secretary of Energy, Jon Huntsman , reacting to the news out of Punggye-ri in North Korea, "...The fact that North Korea Jihad happened to be in the area and now the discovery of the mother lode in what IAEA Inspectors just found, tells me our intelligence regarding North Korea's nuclear capacity illustrates we knew a lot less than what we knew". IAEA has further confirmed that Punggye-ri is a treasure trove, regards how advanced North Korea were, not only in their testing, but their manufacturing and resource sharing". Sources now indicate a "smoking gun" regarding North Korea's partnership with Iran. "The documentation relating to Iranian acquisition of weapons grade uranium over the last ten year's is alarming", so responded Secretary of State, Robert O'Brien , who also added, "What we're now discovering, now helps us understand why North Korea was so tolerant of North Korea Jihad's presence in the country...it will be interesting what else turns up!".

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES VOTE TO RESTORE THE PRESIDENT'S WAR POWER'S AUTHORITY,  in what was seen as a rebuke of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ,the House voted roughly along party lines to restore the President's War Powers authority, which had been usurped by a vote of the then Democratic controlled House of Representatives in January, 2020.

SENATE MINORITY LEADER, CRITICIZES FELLOW DEMOCRATS : In his Friday press conference, Senate Minority Leader, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) , criticized the decision by Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) to visit the southern border, "Senator Casey , is wasting his time and taxpayer dollars, visiting the Southern border, and it raises the question of where his loyalties lie...Republican's are engaging in needless hysteria about much ado about nothing!", Mike Emanuel for Fox News, asked Schumer , if he has gone down to the Southern border, "...I have nothing to see, this Southern border hysteria has been manufactured by your friends within the Republican party, and we heard before that there's nothing wrong down there!". Emanuel's follow up question, "Who said that Senator? Your friend Kamala Harris?" Laughter broke out.

@GM Team Member NewYorkExpress, well British politics is a strange beast! The likely contest for leadership contest will be Boris Johnson & Rishni Sunak, I think Johnson might get it! Priti Patel announced that if Johnson gets back in, she will support him. Last time I heard, was he was on holiday in the Caribbean and had chartered a flight to return to London. As for the General election, its not scheduled until 2024, and given the conservative majority, they are going to wait until then. As things stand now, it's a mess, so Conservatives will wait till then, when things might be better. The reason why Keir Starmer desperately wants an election now, because his Labour Party is polling extremely well; he knows if it doesn't occur now, and has to wait another 18 months, and either Rishni Sunak or Boris Johnson are at No. 10, he could be a dead duck! The only thing Starmer and the Labour Party has going for them, is that they can claim they are not the Conservatives, not a good policy position, I actually don't know what they stand for, apart from the fact, they claim they'd manage things better. They know if they do anything too dramatic, they'll make things worse. In other words, Keir Starmer would be Tony Blair lite. There's no guarantee they can win either, especially if it comes down to a policy debate. They had a chance, when it was a clear Right/Left choice, with either Johnson or Sunak at the helm, it gets fuzzy again, Starmer knows that, so for him Truss calling it a day, is the worst possible outcome for him. He knows if it's Johnson or Sunak at the dispatch box during PMQ he's back to treading water again and that in turn impacts his current polling advantage. Also if Labour doesn't get their general election now, they're toast!

REMERGENCE OF POLITICS AS CANDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR DECLARE THERE INTENTIONS IN SEVERAL STATES: WITH THE HOUSE HAVING VOTED TO RESTORE PRESIDENTIAL WAR POWER AUTHORITY . With the Texas state legislature having voted to impose term limits on all elected state officials, George P. Bush , the state's former Land commissioner and nephew of former former President, George W. Bush and grandson of George H.W. Bush , has declared his intention to seek the Governorship of Texas, however it's not certain if current Attorney General, Ken Paxton , will seek the Governorship as Bush has been busy these last four years since his failed primary bid to challenge Paxton, since then the Attorney General has to battle ethical issues. Sources close to Greg Abbott , who isn't term limited despite the new legislation enacted, has decided to call it a day. Meanwhile in South Carolina, Mick Mulvaney former White House CoS under Donald Trump , has confirmed that he will seek the Governorship. There is expected to be a slew of more announcements for Senate seats and Governorships in the coming weeks; watch out for Georgia (Governor/Senate), Massachusetts  (Governor), Michigan (Senate),  Ohio (Governor) and Virginia (Senate)

ANOTHER DEMOCRAT SENATOR HAS DECIDED TO RETIRE : Rather than seek a third term in the U.S. Senate, Mark Warner , has decided not to seek reelection and will instead retire at the conclusion of his current term in January, 2027. In a statement released through his website, Warner , declared "After three terms representing the voter's of the commonwealth of Virginia, plus four years as Governor, I have decided not to seek another term, as U.S. Senator, it has been a privilege to serve the voter's of Virginia, God bless the United States", Amy Walter , Editor-in-chief,  Cook Political Report, offered up her reaction to this development, "It's very difficult to gauge what the rationale was behind Warner's decision to bow up, it could be any number of factors, they may include that being in the minority is no fun, it could be how badly Democrats are polling in this cycle, ordinarily Warner could be expected to be a likely winner, but considering how Jill Vogel defeated Tim Kaine in last year's election cycle, can't be dismissed, there is no doubt that Virginia has become a highly competitive state, and maybe the endless campaigning doesn't excite Warner that much".
The two likely Democrats to run to replace Warner , will likely be Donald McEachin or Jennifer Wexton , both serving in Congress and currently seeking their party's nomination to challenge incumbent Governor Winsome Sears in this year's Gubernatorial election. The likely Republican entrant into the Senate contest, is likely to be former Congressman, Scott Taylor , who was defeated in 2018 and 2020, by Congresswoman Elaine Luria , whom it might so happen decide to run for Warner's seat.

Senator Mark Warner is the Senate Democratic Minority Whip. I doubt he retires BUT if he does this has to be a very bad look on Schumer and Schumers Minority Leader Job would be at serious risk here if this has happened.

@2016, I think in the scenario I painted, I refer to how Warner , is likely not finding things too much fun, also there is likely an awful lot of infighting in the caucus, over the direction of the party, and considering how Warner comes from what is quite easily a purple state, he's looking at what occurred to McAuliffe in 2021, and Kaine in 2024, and it must fill him with a sense of despondency. Remember, this is 2025 and not 2022.
There is a possibility that Schumer or Warner are just not simpatico over the southern border issue and it is likely Warner has probably informed Schumer of his voting intention on the upcoming vote on the Border Security Bill.
Also,  Warner who will be 72 were he running in 2026, is just more likely than not to call it quits. Also his view probably is, that a younger member of the party could run and win. Also considering all the setbacks the party has confronted in the wake of the DeSantis ascendancy can't be too comforting from Warner's perspective. Also there might be health challenges to be factored in, and if this were the case, I doubt Warner is concerned about the optics of anything he does or doesn't do.

In the wake of their votes against the Yokota Joint Congressional Resolution and the discovery by IAEA inspectors of documents showing irrefutable evidence of collusion between North Korea and Iran in the development, research, testing and possible stockpiling of nuclear weapons, both Senator's Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Alex Padilla (D-CA), were grilled repeatedly over their votes, Warren responded "...the decision by the DeSantis administration to not only attack a sovereign country, but dictate what kind of government this country should have, illustrates the wanton disregard that the United States under this administration, holds for international norms....we have known for years that North Korea possessed Nuclear weapons". When asked by a reporter about documents found at Punggye-ri, detailing the extensive collusion between Iran and North Korea over nuclear weapons technology? Warren's response was considered dismissive, "And this is a surprise? I'm sure both the Trump , and Biden administration's , were aware of these facts, but chose not to share this information with the American people".

Hi this is Shannon Bream, Happy Easter to all our viewers and welcome to this Sunday's edition of Fox News Sunday.
As you will no doubt know, this coming week there will be the three special elections in Florida and these contests will be decided on Tuesday, and all are expected to go Republican and then of course on Wednesday, Senator's  Marco Rubio of Florida and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, who will unveil what is expected to be landmark legislation that will address the Southern border issue, but before I discuss this with our regular panel, I will speak with Condoleezza Rice , Secretary of State and National Security Advisor under former  President  George W.  Bush.



And Susan Rice , who served as Ambassador to the United Nations and National  Security  Advisor under Barack Obama and as Domestic Policy Advisor under Joe Biden.  
Firstly I will go to Dr. Rice .
Welcome  Dr. Rice , and welcome to Fox News Sunday.
Rice : Thanks for having me, Shannon.
Bream : I would like to get your thoughts on what we discovered during the week when the IAEA inspectors discovered documents which attest to collusion between North Korea and Iran on the development, research, testing and stockpiling nuclear weapons, is there any action that the United States can take to address what, has been an ongoing conspiracy on sharing nuclear weapon technology?
Rice : Well Shannon, that we in the Bush administration had our suspicions about such activity and former President  Bush referred to Iran and North Korea as part of the so-called axis of evil, but now there's documented evidence purporting to Iran 's activities to acquire nuclear weapons from Iran, and we need Iran to give a full accounting of these activities and I would recommend that President DeSantis advocate for a tightening of existing sanctions and impose even more sanctions, as well as acquiring UN sanctions to seize and inspect any Iranian seagoing vessel enroute to the Persian Gulf. Iran has demonstrated that they can't be trusted.
Bream : What are your impressions regarding the actions of the DeSantis
Administration in dealing with North Korea and North Korea Jihad?
Rice : It has been measured and the President's focus is on resolving the situation in North Korea, I think the emergence of North Korea Jihad is reminiscent of the dangers we faced from Al-Qaeda, and these extremist groups, use terrorism, it occurred on 9/11 and nearly occurred at Yokota and the aim was to detonate a nuclear weapon on Japanese territory for the first time in nearly eighty-years, the President's actions so far have to be commended.
Bream: Many have stated that North Korea Jihad have been allowed to remain in North Korea for over 15 years, in your opinion why is this the case?
Rice: I think you may have to accept the fact both Iran and North Korea were engaged in subversive efforts to manufacture and to employ the use of nuclear weapons; I also believe that Iran was even engaged in these activities, even as they were negotiating terms of a nuclear agreement, and it appears if this is the case, then the United States may have to reassess the dangers of not being able to have unfettered access to Iran's nuclear facilities, I would suggest that the President and the administration, impose a quarantine around the Persian Gulf in which all vessels leaving and entering the gulf are subject to a rigorous inspections regime.
Bream: As you know Dr. Rice, the President has spelled out, that the objective of his administration, is to permanently eradicate North Korea Jihad, is that possible?
Rice: We can never be sure if such groups can be truly eliminated, look at Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and even ISIS, they exist, due to a vacuum and they readily exploit that vacuum, but the President, as was the case with his many predecessors, can ensure that these groups are denied any sort of foothold, it's a never-ending process, but vigilance is required.

Bream: Welcome back, I have with me, Susan Rice, who has served under President's Barack Obama, as Ambassador to the United Nations and as National Security Advisor, and under Joe Biden, as Director of the Domestic Policy Council. Ms Rice, welcome to the program.
Rice: Thank you Shannon, good to join you.
Bream: I brought this question up with Secretary Rice early in the program, so I will ask you, the news that IAEA inspectors uncovered documents which point to collusion between Iran and North Korea on the development and proliferation of nuclear weapons, and as we just learned, these activities were underway under your former boss, former President Barack Obama was negotiating a nuclear agreement with Iran, in light of what has been learned, what can be done with Iran?
Rice: I think we need to further isolate Iran, strengthen our sanctions program and establish a quarantine regime around the Persian Gulf, as it is now clear that Iran wants to possess nuclear weapons for offensive purposes, especially as the leadership of that country is on record of threatening to "wipe Israel off the map".
Bream: As for North Korea Jihad, can they be removed as a factor?
Rice: Their continued existence, is incompatible with global security, we saw that, when they launched a missile against Japan, one which made landfall near Yokota, that's an unacceptable state of affairs and the fact we are working with China to ensure that North Korea Jihad no longer remains a danger to other Asian countries.
Bream: In hindsight, do you think that maybe that the Obama administration didn't do what President DeSantis is now doing, was a mistake?
Rice: I don't think it was, as we were engaging with Iran, but yes, we could've been more vigilant and North Korea, from what our intelligence told us, had been pursuing a program of acquiring nuclear weapons and we told Kim Jong-Un that the sanctions regime that had been imposed would remain, until North Korea relinquished these ambitions.

WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES THAT PRESIDENT WILL FEDERALIZE THE NATIONAL GUARD OF FOUR STATE'S TO IMPLEMENT SECURITY MEASURES ALONG SOUTHERN BORDER : White House Communications Director, Christina Pushaw , announced that after making calls to the Governor's of Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas, the President signed an executive order which will federalize the national guard from Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. Pushaw in her statement, "The President mindful of the requests made by Senator Casey , and other lawmakers, has signed executive orders which will federalize the national guard from four state's". Senator's Padilla , Schumer and Warren , issued a statement in response to the White House announcement, "...The belief that the White House acting in such arbitrary manner, raises constitutional questions, and we intend to challenge this decision through the courts!"

Shell Oil executives have stated that numerous explosions occurred and It is believed that the Belize flagged Singapore owned container ship called the Ocean Princess exploded, it is not known what caused the explosions. More details will be made available as soon as they  are  known.

As you are now likely aware, but in the early hours of this morning, Houston was rocked by multiple explosions occurring in what is known as the Houston Ship Channel. There was heavy loss of life, we believe from early estimates, there were two hundred deaths. The Department of Justice Counterterrorism section have established that a bomb on the container ship, Ocean Princess exploded which triggered more explosions. At this time both Federal and state emergency first responders are involved in recovery efforts, I called Governor Abbott of Texas to offer him my deepest condolences. Upon my order, all aircraft and shipping vessels are grounded until further notice. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. Thank you.

FBI DIRECTOR INDICATES THAT THE HOUSTON SHIP CHANNEL EXPLOSIONS,  WERE CAUSED BY TERRORIST ACTOR'S: At a Press conference held at the Justice Department, FBI Director, Mark Glass , now state's the bomb which destroyed the Ocean Princess , was planted by terrorists, "forensic teams from local law enforcement and the FBI, have recovered the detonation unit, and we are pretty sure in our conclusions, that the explosion was triggered by a sophisticated GPS device....we are now sure that timing of the explosion and location of the detonation indicates this is something which was planned ahead of time!"

        BORDER PROTECTION & SECURITY BILL
(1.) Establishment of Independent Border Security Agency, which will be subdivided into four Divisions
(a) An expanded Border Security Force: Which will have statutory authority to arrest and detain offenders. This force will replace the existing Border Patrol, in (a.) in terms of scope and authority and (b.) The Border Security Force, will have the same powers of arrest, detention and law enforcement as most local Police and Sheriff Departments.

(b) Enforcement Division: Who's primary role will be to enforce admission guidelines and laws.
It's other role will be to enforce any and existing rules of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
(c) Administration Division: Who's primary role will be to administer the border security apparatus, as well as the management of border security stations.
(d) Criminal Investigations Division: Will be to investigate criminal activities, specifically human and narcotics trafficking will have full statutory authority to arrest and detain criminal perpetrators.
All duties the duties and responsibilities of the Border Patrol, will be assumed by the new Border Security and Protection Force (BOSEPROF) and those serving Border Patrol Agents, will become members of the new organization.

The Border Security Agency, will be incorporated into the Homeland Security Department.
There where will be an upgrade and modernization of data sharing resources in line with current federal guidelines and rules governing the management of data sharing (Federal, state and local law enforcement). This will allow the Border Security Agency to share information and intelligence with other federal, state and local law enforcement elements.

The Border Security Act: Will endow the Border Security Agency with full legal and statutory authority or responsibility, to enforce all existing, new or updated immigration laws.

Recommendations included in the legislation will be to offer:
(i) citizenship to any and all migrants who fulfils the current mandatory requirements, after a required 3–5-year parole and waiting period.
(ii) The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), will establish immigration processing centers in all of the existing embassies and consular offices now in operation.
(iii) There will be Ellis Island type processing Centers along the Southern border, their function and purpose will be to process applications for those immigrants who are legible for settlement in the United States.
(iv) The establishment of an emergency hotline, for the purpose of crime prevention.
The Border Security Act, will be the first part of a reform of the existing Immigration system.
(v) The Border Security & Protection Force, an integral part of the Border Security Agency, will have a separate independent operating budget. It's primary focus and purpose of operation, will be to monitor, observe, patrol and protect the Southern border, as well as enforcing existing and new laws.

WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES THAT PRESIDENT AND HIS TEAM HAVE BEEN CONSULTING WITH HOUSE LEADERSHIP ON REVOKING THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT OF 2022:  White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany , in her daily White House briefing, referred to the Elimination of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, "...The president is mindful of certain provisions of this act gave Inflation protection to small businesses, but we find that this act must and should be revoked, the President has been discussing this matter with the Speaker, as we find that IRS agents are being used to needlessly harass small business owners....so there will be a vote scheduled for next Monday to revoke a piece of legislation that has put more emphasis on tax collection". In response to this announcement, a spokesman for former President Joe Biden , decried "...the notion that the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 will be revoked, the former President believes that this piece of legislation allows the small business owner both relief and protection from possible inflationary strains in the economy....it has been one of his more notable achievements".

BREAKING NEWS! FBI ANNOUNCES ARRESTS IN CONNECTION TO THE HOUSTON SHIP CHANNEL EXPLOSIONS : FBI Director, Mark Glass , announced at his daily briefing, "...the FBI is now able to definitively identify the perpetrators responsible for the Houston Ship Channel, they are Moroccan and Algerian nationals, who claim membership of Al-Murabitoun . Those arrested include Mokhtar Belmokhtar (aka Abu Khaled or Khalid Abu-Abbas), Khalid Boulondo, Abdessamid Ejiad, Younes Ouaziyad and Rachid Afatti, however there is one of this group who remains at large, his name is Saad Housseini". We have been able to trace the movements of these individuals and from what have learned, they crossed into the United States via El Paso! It should be noted that they have been living here in the United States for well over two years".

FBI RELEASES INFORMATION FURTHER INFORMATION OF TERRORIST GROUP: This includes plans regarding the attack on the Ocean Princess ,  "Along the fifty-mile Houston Ship Channel, we are aware that there are more explosive materials, toxic gases, and deadly petrochemicals than anywhere else in the country—which is why most security experts agree that it’s one of America’s top targets. It is important that the attack begins in the Houston Ship Channel, we decided that the cargo hold of the Belize-flagged, Singapore-owned container ship Ocean Princess, was ideal. The vessel in question is eight hundred feet long. It is stacked from stem to stern with forty-foot-long steel boxes and looks oddly top-heavy. On international manifests its cargo is listed as “toys and electrical components.” But we decided that’s not all it is carrying. Inside one of the containers, each of which can hold thirty tons of cargo, is a stockpile of explosives that will make Timothy McVeigh’s Oklahoma City bomb look like a firecracker.
As the ship steams north and west toward the heart of Houston, there are no signs that anything is wrong. As expected, the U.S. Coast Guard boards the ship and performs their routine inspection, interviewing the captain and crew but opening no containers. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which uses an x-ray machine to inspect some of the containers entering the port, sees nothing suspicious in this shipment and elects not to screen it...our mission has been accomplished"

HOMELAND SECURITY OFFICIALS RELEASE MORE INFORMATION REGARDING THE MOVEMENTS OF OCEAN PRINCESS, PRIOR TO ITS ARRIVAL IN HOUSTON : Homeland Security now can reveal, the bomb consisted mostly of Soviet-era anti-ship mines, originally loaded onto the Ocean Princess in Trieste, Italy, by an obscure but well-organized group of Algerian and Moroccan terrorists. The explosives are triggered by a device known as a GPS detonator, which sets them off as soon as a certain longitude-latitude coordinate is reached. In this case, the coordinates were for PeMex's refinery. Unfortunately, terrorists are lucky: The bomb went off just as the container ship is also passing a seven-hundred-foot liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker. The blast ripped into the side of the tanker, causing yet another large explosion, which in turn ignited both gasoline and crude-oil storage tanks at PeMex and caused the tanks’ walls to rupture, sending a river of fire out into the refinery and reaching the far more dangerous pressurized pentane storage tanks. A little more than 11 million gallons of pentane are released, some of which burned and some of which evaporated and formed a vapor cloud, which then exploded with enormous force, the result was buildings and structures in the immediate vicinity, were levelled. By which time another compartment on the LPG tanker is breached, sending a new fireball into the sky.
It must be noted, the stretch of refineries, petrochemical and other plants, mills, docks, silos, wharves, and warehouses that rise along the banks of the malodorous waterway known as the Houston Ship Channel. Over its full fifty-mile track—from near downtown Houston to Bolivar Roads, on the Gulf of Mexico—the channel houses three hundred plants and is one of the largest concentrations of heavy industry on earth, producing nearly half of the nation’s supply of gasoline and half of its petrochemicals. It comprises the largest refinery in the world (Exxon Mobil, in Baytown) and the sixth-largest seaport. Viewed from the tollway bridge on Houston’s east side.
The channel is more than just a spectacular industrial engine. It is also a prime terrorist target. That’s because it is both ground zero for the nation’s petrochemical industry and home to unfathomably large quantities of the deadliest, most combustible, disease-causing, lung-exploding, chromosome-annihilating, and metal-dissolving substances known to man. The sheer toxicity of it all, in fact, is one of the main reasons the channel zone evolved as it did: Part of the idea was to confine all of these poison-laden refineries and chemical plants and ships filled with anhydrous ammonia to their own noxious neighborhoods, generally away from homes and schools and offices. You don’t want to put storage tanks next to nursery schools if they have the potential for igniting and levelling every building within a half-mile radius. Chemical plants can kill people at long range, but it is still a bad idea to put them next to residential subdivisions.
In Pasadena the Crown Central Petroleum refinery’s involved a “catastrophic failure of the hydrofluoric acid storage drum resulting in the release of 50,000 pounds of hydrogen fluoride gas over a ten-minute period.” The distance to what the EPA is now calling the “toxic end point” is 9.3 miles. The spill would affect 650,000 people. BP Amoco in Pasadena involved the “liquid spill and vaporization” of 4,440 pounds of iron pentacarbonyl. Toxic end point: 3.9 miles. People affected: 84,881.
PeMex Oil’s giant Deer Park refinery pentane “vapor cloud explosion”. The explosion “has affected areas up to 1.8 miles away” and up to 5,532 people. The nearby Lyondell-Citgo refinery has also been included in the listed, Toxic end point: 1.68 miles. People affected: 20,100.

CIA CONFIRMS THAT TWO OF THE HOUSTON TERRORISTS, HAD LINKS TO NORTH KOREA JIHAD : CIA sources are able to confirm that both Mokhtar Belmokhtar and Saad Housseini, have connections to North Korea Jihad and according to information from South Korea's National Intelligence Service, this information includes CCTV footage of both Belmokhtar and Hosseini passing through Seoul's Incheon International Airport over six months ago. Additional CCTV footage, which was secured,  shows them at Mexico City's Zacatecas International Airport, a few days later. Housseini is still a fugitive at large.

SENIOR SENATE REPUBLICAN : Senator Tom Cotton (R-ARK), a senior member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, is requesting that an Independent Counsel be appointed, for the purpose of investigating the causes of why there was lax security protocols at the Southern Border, during the 2021-2025 period. "It's no coincidence, that from the moment that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris came into office, there were catastrophic failures to observe and enforce security measures put in place by the Trump administration....I don't know if these failures were intentional or just indifference to what is now a serious problem with national security ramifications"
In the immediate aftermath of the explosions, President DeSantis   spoke  with Mexican President Claudia Scheinbaum Pardo , to offer his condolences, as many of the casualties included Mexican expats who were employed at PeMex; it should be noted that there was an explosion at Deer Park in July of last year. As there was a high concentration of hispanic residents in the Deer Park area, there is a strong likelihood that a majority of those injured or killed in the explosions will be Hispanic. After speaking with the Mexican President, the President had early morning meetings with his national security council team in the Oval office, to monitor events in Houston. All thoughts on the Florida Special Election's had disappeared.

WHITE HOUSE RESPONDS TO LATEST UPDATES REGARDING HOUSTON EXPLOSIONS : White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, in her daily briefing, issued the White House's response from the updates given by both FBI and Department of Homeland Security, "...The President has been briefed by both the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, on what has been learned, the fact that the individuals have been in the country for the past two years, and crossed our Southern border at El Paso, indicates how there has been a failure to see Border Security as a National Security issue, and if there are lawmakers who still embrace that ridiculous notion that the Southern border is secure, you might want to travel to Texas and assure the family members of those who died in the explosions two days ago"
Jeffrey Diamond, CNN's White House Correspondent, asked the question, "Kayleigh, surely the President isn't blaming the Biden administration for these security lapses, such as they are?"
McEnany: Well Jeffrey, well maybe you should ask Vice President Harris, how she concluded '... The border was secure, when as we all can see, it wasn't...the Houston Explosions should inform even you Jeffrey, that the southern border wasn't secure! ....Maybe while you are at it, ask Senator's Padilla, Schumer and Warren why they are continuing to engage in political semantics?

White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany,  "Everyone, the Vice President of the United States.
Haley : Thank you for being here, the purpose of this event is to advise the American people on the events following the 4/22 attack on Houston, and as we now have learned the perpetrators who are responsible for this attack, didn't happen to be here, their presence in this country has been a fact for well over 6 months, and this was facilitated by the lax security protocols that have existed for close to four year's. We are fully aware that Border Security came pretty low on the list of priorities for the previous administration and has been used as a political device to prevent corrective measures from taking place. As you will now all know in the past few day's the President ordered that the national guard of four state's be federalized. There responsibility will be to monitor and secure the border until we can ensure that unless anyone has a legal right to do so, will not be allowed to enter the United States. Now I will ask National Security Advisor Dina Powell to give you an update on what the United States will do in conjunction of our allies.
Powell : Thank you Madam Vice President, the developments over the last two day's, and what we are now learning by the hour indicates the glaring nature of the vulnerabilities that exist at our southern border, makes it clear that this is no longer a border problem, it is now a national security issue, and as you already know the FBI has identified two of the suspects as having connections with North Korea Jihad. The activities of this group, which have included a Missile attack on Yokota in Japan, and another attack directed at Seoul in South Korea, followed by what occurred in Tuesday, makes it clear to the President and his team,  that Border Security is no longer an abstract political football, and we understand what has to be done. Secretary Gimenez , will now give you a guide on what to expect in the medium term.
Gimenez : Thank you Mrs. McCormick,  the responsibility of the Department of Homeland Security, is to protect this country from all existential and emerging threats, what occurred in Houston, could have been prevented, if the matter of Border Security was taken seriously, whether it is at the southern border. Rules put in place were either ignored or overlooked; this has to, and will end; I am going to recommend to the President, that the border wall be finished, and reinforced. As you will know that, the National guard of four state's are under federal control and will remain so until further notice. The Border Security Act will be subject to ongoing revisions, I have requested that Senator's Rubio and Sinema , include language in their legislation to make allowances for any such eventualities. I will now ask Attorney General Lagoa , to speak about the progress of the the investigations now underway.
Lagoa : Thank you Secretary Gimenez , as most all of you will be aware, the FBI made some arrests, those arrests were conducted under the authority of a federal warrant. The perpetrators were mirandized and are being held at a secure facility, and are being debriefed. By identifying each of the individuals now in custody, we now know a lot more than we did even 12 hours ago and we will likely learn a lot more. I will ask Director Glass to fill you in on why we need to secure the apprehension of Saad Housseini.
Glass : Thank you Madam Attorney General,  as Judge Lagoa just stated, Saad Housseini is currently a fugitive at large, and is considered dangerous; on top of this fact, this individual has known connections with North Korea Jihad. Our investigation is ongoing and will continue as long as necessary, there are other individuals who were involved in the Houston Explosions. I will ask the Director of National Intelligence, to take the podium  and outline what we know and how we acquired that information.
Stewart : Thanks Director Glass , we are deeply grateful to our Asian friends for the valuable Intel we acquired, it is because of this cooperation, we were able to connect the dots, and establish that both Mokhtar Belmokhtar andSaad Housseini indeed do have connections with North Korea Jihad, and these connections have revealed a unholy alliance not only with Iran and the Mexican drug cartels. However while we are willing to share this information with the American people, there are other aspects of our Intel gathering operations are highly sensitive and have national security considerations. I will now ask Secretary Nason to come forward.
Nason : The Department of Transportation, would like to outline what the travelling public should expect at all and every one of our ports and Airports, because of the updated security rules, you should expect increased  delays and inconveniences, we hope these rules will be shortlived and relaxed overtime. But national security requires more vigilance and we have to understand that Houston was an opportunity for terrorists and an act of terrorism that was exploited.  9/11 was a tragedy and so was 4/22.

Air Force One, flew into Houston early today, on board were the President, White House Chief of Staff, Byron Donalds, Transportation Secretary Nicole Nason, Homeland Security Secretary Carlos Gimenez, Senator's John Cornyn and Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), Marco Rubio (R-FL),  Kyrsten Sinema(D-AZ)  prior to departing Washington, the President authorized the emergency funds to address federal disasters.


The President met with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and they toured the devasted areas affected by the cataclysmic explosions which occurred last Tuesday.

TWO SENATE DEMOCRATS ANNOUNCE THERE SUPPORT FOR THE BORDER SECURITY BILL AND ISSUE STATEMENT ON BORDER WALL : Two Democrats in the U.S. Senate announce their support for the Border Security Bill, Senator's Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Gary Peters (D-MI) , issued a joint statement in support of the Border Security Bill, "What occurred on Tuesday last, is a wake up call, a tragic one, where loss of life was unnecessary, it may now be necessary to secure our southern border with the construction of a wall, our national security is now at stake, we urge other Senator's from both parties to support such measures that will ensure the security of our country"
