Arizona State Treasurer KIMBERLY YEE (R-Arizona) announced this week her intention to challenge 1st Term Governor Katie Hobbs (D-Arizona) next year. Yee ran previously in 2022 but dropped out of the Republican Primary for Governor when TV Host & Celebrity KARI LAKE (R-Arizona) announced her own run and opted to run for Re-Election instead. After the 2022 Elections KARIN TAYLOR-ROBSON (R-Arizona) took over as the Republican Party Chairwoman in Arizona replacing Kelly Ward and vowed to select more credible Candidates. Then Candidate RON DESANTIS (R-Florida) carried Arizonas' 11 Electoral Votes during the 2024 Presidential Election. Yee has secured the backing of former Arizona Governor DOUG DUCEY (R-Arizona) and MEGHAN MCCAIN, Daughter of the late Senator & 2008 Presidential Candidate John McCain. In a Report published in the Newspaper Arizona Republic both Arizona Senators, Kyrsten Sinema (D-Arizona) and Mark Kelly (D-Arizona) have apparently told President DeSantis not to back Lake this time as they view Yee as a more Mainstream-type Republican who can put Arizona back on track. Georgia Lieutenant Governor GEOFF DUNCAN (R-Georgia) announced today in Atlanta, Georgia that he would challenge 1st-Term Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Georgia) in next years Midterm Elections. Duncan had been running an Exploratory Committee for quite some time. However what wasn't clear until today was which Office he would pursue. Both said that they had reached their conclusions after having talked with their Senate Colleagues Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut) and Ben DuPont (R-Delaware). That brings the Votes to vote for passage to at least 75. Republican Hold-Outs Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota) and Mike Rounds (R-South Dakota) are to be believed leaning towards a YES Vote as well.

SENATE REPEALS PARTS OF THE 2022 INFLATION REDUCTION ACT THAT WAS PASSED BY THE DEMOCRATIC-LED CONGRESS IN 2022
The Senate today repealed Parts of the „Inflation Reduction Act of 2022“ that was passed under a Democratic Congress in August 2022 primarily the 87,000 IRS Agents. During a News Conference after passage Senate Majority Leader John Cornyn (R-Texas) called it a „Sham Act“ and total overreach by the 117th Congress & the previous Administration. Some of the funds for the IRS Agents will be redirected to fund the Southern Border. Majority Whip John Thune (R-South Dakota) & Senate Conference Chairwoman Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) said that this repeal will help Small Businesses get back onto their feet. The Bill is now headed for the House for Final Passage.

We have some BREAKING NEWS Jake (Tapper): The House of Representatives just took the first formal step enacting President DeSantis' Signature „Border Security & Protection Act“ into law by advancing the Legislation with a 350-84 Vote. Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries' (D-New York) Joint Statement this Morning all but cleared the passage of this bill and it also apparently swayed a lot of Democrats with 80 of them joining Republicans. The Bill now heads now to the Senate. It could be a very long Night though. Still, it's a long way to go before we can actually enact meaningful Immigration Reform.

Chuck Todd, NBC NEWS Political Director & Anchor of Meet The Press: The April 22nd Houston Attack swayed a lot of Democrats Savannah. You don't get all of the sudden 80 House Democrats supporting this Legislation. Unfortunately something had to happen first before they came to their senses. One Democratic Senator, who retired a few years back, told me that he doesn't like this posturing by Senate Minority Leader Schumer (D-New York) at all.

WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES THAT VP HALEY WILL GO TO A TOWNHALL & FUNDRAISING TRIP NEXT MONTH THROUGH VARIOUS STATES PROMOTING THE ADMINISTRATIONS BORDER SECURITY & PROTECTION ACT AND OUTLINING FURTHER STEPS WHEN IT COMES TO REFORMING THE NATIONS IMMIGRATION SYSTEM
The White House announced today while President DeSantis will be travelling to Mexico, Canada and Europe next month Vice President NIKKI HALEY, as Border Response Coordinator, will go to a Townhall & Fundraising Trip through various States promoting the Border Security & Protection Act that was just passed by Congress. She will also outline further steps by the DESANTIS-HALEY Administration how to reform the Nations Immigration System. Haleys Chief of Staff STEPHANIE GRISHAM notified the Media that the Fundraisers will largely be private while the Town Halls will be public. The WH will set up a Website in the coming Days where people can register for the Townhalls. As these Townhalls aren't Campaign Rallys space will be limited. States HALEY is expected to visit are California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ESTABLISHES BIPARTISAN 4/22 COMMISSION TO PROBE BORDER SECURITY BREACHES THAT LED TO THE DEADLY HOUSTON TERRORIST ATTACK
House Speaker STEVE SCALISE (R-Louisiana) and Minority Leader HAKEEM JEFFRIES (D-New York) today announced that the House of Representatives would establish an Independent Bipartisan 4/22 Commission to probe possible Border Security Breaches that led to the horrific & deadly Houston Terrorist Attack. Scalise & Jeffries didn't rule out that the Commission would issue possible supoenas to former Vice President KAMALA HARRIS, former Homeland Secretary ALEJANDRO MAYORKAS as well as several Intelligence Officials working in the Biden Administration but stressed out that for the Members of the Commission to decide which Individuals to subpoena.

KellyAnne Conway, Republican Strategist „I agree, the Border Security Act should have passed with a similar Mandate like the Yokota Resolution. The wounds from the Houston Attack that happened 8 Days ago are still fresh so you would have assumed more support so I can understand Jessica's Disappointment. That being said Bill & Dana Minority Leader Schumer has not spoken once with Majority Leader Cornyn since the Passage of the Yokota Resolution. Frankly, I don't know what's between the White House, President DeSantis, VP Haley and Schumer but I am sure we will find out at some point in the future.
The Administrations' Messaging has been very effective and Vice President NIKKI HALEY is probably the most effective VP since George H. W. Bush, when he was VP under President Ronald Reagan. She gets straight back to work as alluded to by announcing these Town Halls next month. You got to sell what you just passed. I wish Mike Pence would have been this effective [ALL 4 BREAK OUT IN LAUGHTER]. DESANTIS-HALEY accomplished more in 100 Days when it comes to our Southern Border than BIDEN-HARRIS did in four years. Yesterday Night Rep. Donald McEachin (D-VA 4) devastatingly passed after losing his longtime battle with cancer. I had McEachin vying for the Democratic Gubernatorial Nomination against Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA 10) to take on Governor Winsome Sears (R-Virginia) in 2025. Since that will no longer be possible and the Filling Deadline for the Virginia Primaries has already passed Wexton will be running unopposed in the June Primary and I will schedule a Special Election for the now vacated House Seat presumably on the same Day the Virginia General Election is occuring. May Donald McEachin rest in peace and condolences to all who were close to him.

On MSNBC's „MORNING JOE“ fellow Floridian Joe Scarborough called Minority Leader Charles Schumers (D-New York) Move OPPOSING THE BORDER SECURITY BILL dangerous while his Co-Host Mika Brzezinski claimed Schumer was playing with quote „Our National Security“ unquote.
Scarborough also called on „Certain Achors on the Network“ to tone down the temperatures & rhetoric towards this Administration and the President.
During „CBS MORNINGS“ Host Gayle King voiced DISAPPOINTMENT that the Border Security Legislation did not get more Votes in the Senate and questioned Minority Leader Charles Schumers (D-New York) motives for blocking it. President RON DESANTIS today signed the „SMALL BUSINESS ENHANCEMENT & REINVESTMENT ACT“ into Law providing much needed Relief for the Countries Small Business Community who are still reeling from the COVID-19 Pandemic. This Bill was originally known as the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 which passed under a Democratic Congress in the Biden Administration during 2022 except that it didn't reduce Inflation at all. The Republican Congress made Major Changes including repealing the 87,000 IRS Agents as well cutting the Biden Administrations Climate Change & Fossil Fuel Provisions out of the Bill and replacing it with Provisions for Small Businesses.

As already being reported the President today signed the „SMALL BUSINESS ENHANCEMENT & REINVESTMENT ACT“ into Law providing much needed relief for the Small Business Community in this Country which we believe is still the backbone of our Economy. These Communities were living under the burden of the Biden Administrations draconian Regulations including the 87,000 IRS Agents and they deserve better. Between 5PM ET and 6PM ET Secretary of Defense KENNETH BRAITHWAITE will give another Update on the Situation in North Korea. Finally next week the President will make some Appointments & Nominations in Relation to the Administrations Ecucation & Economic Policies.

KAYLEIGH MCENANY: One thing I can tell you Nancy, it is not a Campaign Trail. As alluded by the VP's CoS STEPHANIE GRISHAM it's the way how we cummunicate to the American People. They have the right to know how the Border Security Legislation will be implemented and VP HALEY will outline that during these Townhalls and will also talk further steps this Administration will take towards reforming our Nations Immigration System. As you and many people in this Room may have already figured out we have been one of the most transparent Presidential Administrations in its First 100 Days in a long time despite suffering a lot of hardships and curveballs.

KAYLEIGH MCENANY: Well, I can tell you this Cecilia that President Pardo and President DeSantis are very much on the same Page. The President can't wait to travel to Mexico later this month as he was locked in the Country for the past 100 Days which is unusual in itself but given the Challenges we faced was reasonable I think. President Pardo understands that Border Security & National Security are as important to Mexico as they are to the United States.

Kristen Welker, NBC NEWS Chief White House Correspondent: To follow up on that. President Pardo said that Mexican-US Relations have been strained over the past four to eight years. What do you think she meant by that?
KAYLEIGH MCENANY: I'm saying this in hindsight Kirsten that former President Trumps Phrase „We will built a wall and Mexico will pay for it“ probably wasn't the smartest of ideas but neither was having a completely open border with bascially zero restrictions. That's why the Meeting is very important to restrengthen those Relations.

EVENING NEWS SHOWS + PENTAGON BRIEFING
Political Commentators across the Early Evening Cable News Shows on both sides of the aisle noticed that the DESANTIS' ADMINISTRATION Press & Communications Team took a far less confrontational tone during the first 100 Days of this Administration compared when President DeSantis was Governor of Florida or when Press Secretary MCENANY briefed the Press during COVID-19 during the Spring & Summer of 2020.
CNN Political Commentator Scott Jennings said during Jake Tappers THE LEAD: They have taken a very different approach. The Press Secretary refused to go after the Senate Minority when it comes to opposing the Border Bill. They seem to have taken the approach that they led the American People judge and decide these things. I have to say though that History won't be very kind to Senate Minority Leader Schumer (D-New York) of what he did in the last couple of Days.

During the Daily Pentagon Briefing Secretary of Defense KENNETH BRAITHWAITE confirmed that South Korean & US Forces have taken control of the DMZ given that North Korea has literally no Government at the moment. North Korea Jihad has done Two Circles aroung Pyongyang which neither the Chinese nor US Forces have been able to penetrate. To complicate things the North Korea Jihad has control of the biggest Nuclear Power Plant in the Country and they have threatened to blow that up which could cause a Humanitarian Catastrophe three times bigger than Chernobyl. Braithwaite said that there will soon be Phase 2, a large scaled Air-Attarck Millitary Offensive by Chinese, US, Japan and South Korean Air Force to incapitate front line positions by the North Korea Jihad around the North Korean Capital to make the way for Ground Forces.

During ABC's World News tonight with DAVID MUIR ABC Contributor Maria Elena Salinas, who travelled across the Country particularly in States that had a Border to Mexico, had a sit down with the Anchor discussing the recently passed Border Security & Protection Act and offered clues to the Hispanic Community living in Border Towns.
Salinas said Residents were very appreciative to the DESANTIS-HALEY Admistration for trying to secure the southern border to Mexico. Voters in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California were telling her „Ending Title 42 was the worst thing that happened to our Border Communities and Towns, a full disaster. We welcome Migrants but that has to be done in an orderly manner and not them swarming our communities“.
Salinas called the Meeting between President RON DESANTIS & Mexican President CHRISTINA PARDO a very important one which could yield a breakthrough. She also called the recently announced Town Halls by the Vice President a Great Idea to hear directly from Residents.
Salinas also offered a warning to Democrats as the once core voting group for the Party is changing and can no longer be assumed voting that way. We've seen a Hispanic realignment in 2024. Whether that will last is too soon to tell but if the Administration manages to get an Immigration Reform Bill passed next year with a pathway to citizenship we could see more Hispanics gravitating towards Republicans.

On a sunny early spring Day in Charleston, South Carolina Senator LINDSEY GRAHAM (R-SOUTH CAROLINA) surrounded by his family & friends made his Retirement official announcing that he would not be a Candidate for the Senate during the upcoming 2026 Midterm Elections. Graham thanked the people of South Carolina for placing their trust in him first as a Congressman and then as a Senator. Graham was elected to the United States House of Representatives in South Carolinas' 3rd Congressional District during the 1994 Republican Revolution until 2002 before running for the United States Senate to replacing retiring Senator Storm Thurmond during the 2002 Midterm Elections. Graham subsequently won Re-Election in 2008, 2014 and 2020.
Speaking to a local TV Affiliate in Charleston after his Announcement Graham commented about who might replace him saying „Congresswoman NANCY MACE (R-SC 1) would obviously a strong Candidate for his Seat“.

Later in the Day the Office of Representative NANCY MACE released the following Statement:

„Today is Senator Lindsey Grahams Day. Senator Graham has worked diligently and tirelessly for the people of South Carolina for the last thirty years and South Carolinas owe him a major depth of gratitude. Congresswoman Mace will be making a Statement about her Political Future in due course.“

During his Own Show „ONE NATION“ Host Brian Kilmaede announced the News shortly after 8pm ET/5pm PT that former Vice President & California Senator Kamala D. Harris (D-California) had decided to forgo a bid for California Governor in 2026.
That was confirmed by Harris minutes later on her own Twitter Account.
The News dealt a Major Blow to California Democrats retaining the California Governorship next year as Harris was seen as the strongest possible Democratic Candidate amid Governor Gavin Newsoms low Approval Ratings (A Poll by the LA Times in early March had Newsoms Job Approval in the low 30ties).
People familar with the former Vice Presidents thinking though said the reason for Harris not running could be the new 4/22 Commission which is all but certain to be approved by the Republican-controlled Senate on Monday and the former VP could face new investigations for her handling the southern border during the Biden Administration as the Terrorists who carried out the April 22nd Attack likely gained Entry into the Country during that time and she didn't want these possible investigations to be a distraction.

During „STATE OF THE UNION“ with Jake Tapper Chief White House Correspondent Cecilia Vega, who covered both the Trump and Biden White House, remarked that President RON DESANTIS has faced the most Challenges during the First 100 Days ever dealing with the North Korea Crisis and then a Terrorist Attack here at home and White House Aides now feel vindicated DeSantis picked NIKKI HALEY back last year given all the curveballs that were thrown at them from a Foreign Policy Standpoint.
Vega also briefly weighed in on the HARRIS ANNOUNCEMENT from last Night saying „Look Jake, this was all about the impending 4/22 Commission that will be ratified by the Senate tomorrow and if currently intelligence is correct that these Terrorists entered the Country in October the former Vice President will be subpoenaed as well as other former Biden Administration Officials. Looks like Mrs Harris was more concerned about her Election then securing the border“.
Vega also said the Administration would be moving Full Speed ahead with Education, a possible Infrastructure Bill, the Balanced Budget and Voter ID/Voting Rights and called the Border Security & Protection Act, although it's only the first step in reforming the Nations Immigration System a big victory for the Administration.

SENATE PASSES HOUSE BILL CREATING 4/22 COMMISSION
The Senate today passed the House Bill creating the 4/22 Commission to investigate the Houston Terrorist Attack and the Events that led up to it. The Vote was 80-20 with 15 Democrats joining Republicans. Noticeable was that neither, Senate Minority Leader CHARLES SCHUMER (D-NEW YORK) nor Senate Minority Conference Chairwoman PATTY MURRAY (D-WASHINGTON) voted for the Bill.


PRESIDENT DESANTIS NOMINATES NEW CHAIR OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK
President RON DESANTIS today nominated MICHELLE BOWMAN, a Member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to replace the current Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank JEROME POWELL. Powell was appointed by then President Trump and approved by the Senate in 2018.
If approved Bowman would be the 2nd Woman to head the Federal Reserve Bank after Janet Yellen, who served as Chair of the Bank under President Obama.

CNN White House Correspondent Jeremy Diamond told the audience that the White House is "Not Happy" with the Candidacy of Geoff Duncan for the Georgia Senate Seat currently held by Senator JON OSSOFF (D-GEORGIA). Diamond telling Anchor John Berman „This is very much personal stuff between Duncan and the President because after then Governor DeSantis won Re-Election overwhelmingly in 2022 Duncan trashed DeSantis on our Network and such things are not going to get unnoticed“.
The White House is trying to recruit Governor BRIAN KEMP (R-GEORGIA) to run for the Seat. The Presidents' Political Advisors believe Governor Kemp would be a stronger Candidate and President DeSantis feels he owes Kemp something because without the Governors impeccable Ground Game then Republican Nominee DeSantis would not have won the Peach State.
Vice President NIKKI HALEY is expected to speak with Governor KEMP personally on this matter when she visits Georgia as part of her Town Hall Schedule on May 25-26.

Sprowls said quote „Governors are KEY John as they implement our Agenda. You might see in the coming weeks Candidacies announced even in Blue States such as Massachusetts and New York“. Sprowls mentioned former Rep. LEE ZELDIN (R-NEW YORK) and TAGG ROMNEY (R-MASSACHUSETTS) as Challengers to Governors KATHY HOCHUL (D-NEW YORK) and MAURA HEALEY (D-MASSACHUSETTS).
Both, Gruters and Sprowls hyped massive praise to Vice President NIKKI HALEY in the aftermath of what happened in Yokota and Houston. Gruters said „We couldn't have a better partner working along and with the President than Nikki. She has very strong core principles & convictions just like the President“.
Upon returning from his International Trip to Mexico, Canada and Europe the Administrations Main Goal will be Education & Infrastructure. Sprowls mentioned that many, many children were left behind in their Education because of the disastrous lockdown policies for Schools during the previous Administration and the DESANTIS-HALEY Administrations Goal is to chance that.

Normal Inauguration Festivies & Celebrations, an Inaugural Address which was surpringsly well received across the beltway as President DeSantis & his family settled into a life inside the White House. On Day 1 Mr DeSantis rescinded all COVID-19 Health Care Measures, a key pillar of his 2024 Campaign. Most of Mr. DeSantis Cabinet Nominations were confirmed smootly with one excemption, Texas Senator Ted Cruz as Attorney General. But after Mr Cruz withdrew himself from the Nomination and Mr. DeSantis selected Mrs. Lagoa as his choice as the Countrys Chief Law Enforcement Officer but also happened to be only the 3rd Woman and first Cuban-Hispanic to be nominated for that Position her Selection was seen as a Net Plus for the President. Less than 3 Weeks into his Presidency Mr. DeSantis made a KEY PERSONAL DECISION appointing his Vice President, Mrs Haley as Border Security Response Coordinator. Mrs. Haley vowed to do a better job as her predecessor, then Vice President Harris during the previous Administration. Within a week Haley visited the Southern Border to Mexico making stops in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. What she saw there was quite extraordinary. There was no border. Haley was shell-shocked. Even before Haleys visit to Arizona Senator Sinema, who just narrowly won Re-Election went on National TV vowing to clean up this mess and she was joined by other Moderate Democrats in the Vice Presidents Visit. It was clear: A Border Security Bill was on the cards and Senators Sinema and Rubio were tasked in conjuction with the Team of Vice President Haley to write the legislation EVEN as Mr. Schumer tried to gaslight millions of Americans from the Senate Floor it wasn't a serious issue.
After Mr DeSantis' first Speech to Congress where he also issued a stern warning when it came to the China/Taiwan Tensions and the Country would defend Taiwan his Vice President & State Department prepared the first big Diplomatic Trip of this Administration AND then the UNTHINKABLE happened.
As Mrs Haley wrapped up her 2-Day Visit in South Korea and was en route to Manila in the Phillippines Reports came in that North Korea had fired a Ballistic Missile into the Japanese Mainland at the Yokota Airbase with many casualties being reported as well. People on Air Force Two, the Vice Presidents plane described the Senior Staff of Mrs Haley stunned, in disbelief and shock. There was silence on the plane for a few minutes. Little did we know that it wasn't actually the North Korean Millitary who fired the missile but a pro millitant Group called North Korea Jihad.
Mr. DeSantis, at the time of the incident in Chicago to visit the opening of the Obama Presidential Library spoke for the first time to the Nation condemning the attack and so did the other former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Joseph Biden, his predecessor. He then rushed back to Washington where the National Security had already being convened and planning for a potential millitary operation began. Mr. DeSantis briefly considered ordering Vice President Haley back to Washington but at the urging of the Congressional Leadership, who suggested it would be better if Haley continues her trip through Asia to reassure US Allies she stayed.
During Mrs Haleys Visit in Indonesia President Joko Widodo suggested a PTO (Pacific Treaty Organization) similar to NATO should be established.
