A swing voter in KS.

1988 - they were so angry over Iran-Contra that they voted for Dukakis in anger
1992 - Perot because he was an 'outsider', anti-establishment protectionist, and they liked that
1996 - voted for Dole because of the home state effect
2000 - voted for Gore over the DUI
2004 - "rally-around-the-flag effect": they considered it their patriotic duty to vote for Dubya after 9/11 and because of Afghanistan/Iraq...also, they may have considered Kerry to be more liberal than Gore
2008 - Obama because they turned on Iraq and/or because they were upset over the Great Recession
2012 - Romney because they thought Obama was too 'librul' (could be Obamacare, repeal of DADT, whatever)
2016 - Didn't like Trump over Access Hollywood, but bought into the Crooked Hillary thing, and voted Trump to stop Hillary
2020 - Voted for Biden over COVID
