It's hard when many leftists are defeated in primaries, and more importantly if the party establishment refuses to work with the left, creating a disenfranchised left, which eventually will cause troubles whenever Trump will be out of the picture and the main motivation for getting out to vote will be gone, because many simply vote because they don't like Trump and not particularly because they like the Democrat.
