Nations - minus the Soviet Union, unless they decide to join the Olympics and the IOC - will be able to vote for the next Olympics during the course of the turn, based on last turn's nominations. The idea is for you to rank the options from 1 to 5, and I'll eliminate the one with the lowest preferences until we have a winner.

[ ] Prague, Czechoslovak Republic
[ ] Rome, Kingdom of Italy

Due to player switches, we will be disregarding the last vote and will proceed with a new one. There is also a motion before the IOC on whether the 1940 Rome Olympics should be suspended. Italy will be allowed to either contest the motion (and present a defense) or accept it. Once that is done with, we will vote on suspension and 1944 location.

(We will run the new vote for 1944 later, no need to vote on that yet)

We will now vote on the IOC's motion to suspend the 1940 Olympics, to be run for 36 hours:

YES [ ]
NO [ ]
ABSTAIN [ ]

All players but the Soviet Union - not a member of the IOC - may vote.

The motion is narrowly carried, and the 1940 Olympics are now suspended. The IOC will proceed with the 1944 vote again:

[ ] Istanbul, Republic of Turkey
[ ] Barcelona, Kingdom of Spain
[ ] Tokyo, Empire of Japan
[ ] Montreal, Dominion of Canada
