wiki tells me the largest carnivorous plant (a pitcher plant) get torn up by monkeys to get to the good stuff inside.  It will catch small vertebrates, but nothing larger than a rat.

are you suggesting this theoretical man-eating tree is the only creature on Earth that kills everything that gets within eyesight of it?

I mean, supposedly, people wouldn't see it coming and/or expect it if these man-eating tree's exist. So we can only hypothesize as to their methods and success.

If Trump had balls he would've declassified everything as POTUS.

Pitcher plants can eat mice but human sized animals are too big for a plant to eat.

did ya watch the video?  'cause they clearly state the Madagascar plant was fiction and why a man eating plant would be highly unlikely.

Carnivory evolved in plants as a response to low nutrient availability in soil (specifically, nitrogen). If a tree is able to grow and persist in any type of environment it's unlikely to need the nitrogen boost that eating humans would provide.

Does a man eating tree make a sound?

Depends.

If a man-eating tree falls over in the forest, and no one is there to hear it, did it make a sound?

I wouldn't worry too much. Their bark is worse than their bite.

As shown by my "coming out" as queer, and inability to see objects right in front of me, my mental health has sharply deteriorated.

If a dead human is buried next to a tree and the tree absorbs some of the decaying remains, does that make it a man eating tree?
