Why did Pat Buchanan actually came in second place in St Mary's KS? That was his best showing. What about that town led to that?

Old thread probably nobody will ever read but St. Marys includes a large Society of Saint Pius X (Traditionalist Catholics) community since the 1980's.

Yep! And they're growing pretty quickly. State Rep. Francis Awerkamp is a member. It's also why Chuck Baldwin and Darrell Castle both overperformed their national numbers in St. Marys as well.
