Perhaps a week after the midterms! He probably knows, despite his public pronouncements that DOJ ain't gonna do anything until after the midterms. There is a possibility that the DOJ (on the nuanced instructions of Ron Klain) made their raid on Mar-A-Lago when they did, in the hopes of provoking Trump to announce as soon as possible! He's likely not to be baited. There are two reasons. 1. Is that he has concludes that there is no rush; he knows as everyone else knows that the DOJ or FBI are not gonna do anything before the elections! Christopher Wray is no James Comey. 2. Trump isn't gonna jeopardize possible Republican wins of both Houses! He's not that stupid and he probably prefers to have the focus remain on Biden's failures, high inflation and anything else that can be used, especially the FBI raid! The possibility he played the FBI to do what they did, by having them believe that there was classified documents! I'm thinking they found nothing, because if they did, it would've been leaked to the media outlets by now. So instead we have a big Ooops!

He doesn’t. He’s not running. At this point he knows that if he does run, the Deep State or some “lone nut” Antifa type will ensure a repeat of Dallas in 1963.

He'll have just enough discipline to wait until after the midterms. He knows that him announcing a 2024 run prior to the midterms is the best thing that can happen to 2022 Democrats.

Since, apparently, Republican lawmakers are now urging him to run and announce as soon as possible, I imagine it will be soon.

Bait and switch. They want him to run now, so they can blame him when they can lose more than expected. And this will be used as the basis for “Trump has no support in the party”, the party wants DeSantis, not him; they just need to show him to be a “loser” with his supporters. Getting him to announce early, so he can be blamed for midterm loses, would be a way to get supporters to consider dumping Trump.

As we saw in 2016, the voters don’t give a sh**t what the party wants.
