It's remarkable that Pence is the only one of these who was born in the 1950s. Also somewhat unlikely there will ever be a president born in that decade.

There was also neither a president nor vice president born in the 1930s. And not just Trump, Bush 43 and Clinton shared the same birth year, Bush 41 and Carter do (1924) and Nixon and Ford did as well (1913).

Somewhat more shockingly, Biden is already one of the oldest living world leaders.  He is older than all of the living former leaders of the UK, France, Germany, Russia, etc.

He’s nowhere near as old as Queen Elizabeth II. Actually, Prince Charles was also born in the 1940s!

Man, even though I watched that movie about him that showed his youth, it is really weird to think that Cheney is only a year older than Biden and only 5 years older than Dubya.

Bill Clinton was elected 28 years before Biden, and is 4 years younger.

There was also neither a president nor vice president born in the 1930s.
Dukakis (b. 1933) and McCain (b. 1936) though were presidential nominees.

Bill Clinton was elected 28 years before Biden, and is 4 years younger.

Biden is also older than any Democratic presidential nominee since 1988. Obviously, on his first day in office he was older than any president on his last, narrowly topping Reagan who was 77 years and 11 months in January 1989. Biden was 78 years and 2 months on January 20, 2021.

He also outlived several American presidents already. Still find it insane that at the time of becoming vice president he already had a longer lifespan (66 years) than Lyndon Johnson and Franklin Roosevelt. Then served two terms as vice president, spent four years off before winning his first term in the Oval Office.

And just 18 years from now, '40s babies will be born again.

With the exception of Obama, all presidents since 1992 have been born during the 1940s. I assume that this is a trend that will continue for the forseeable future.

Biden, like Reagan, is older than four of his predecessors. JFK, conversely, was, or would have been, younger than four of his successors.

This isn't terribly surprising.  1946 was the modal birth year in America for decades.

Not to mention a lot of singers were born in the 1940s.

Including...

1950s: Ricky Nelson, the first ever artist to have a hit that tops the Hot 100
1960s: all of the Beatles
1970s: countless artists
1980s: more countless artists even though they turned 40 that decade
1990s: some artists, like Elton John with Candle In The Wind 1997, Aerosmith with I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, and Cher with Believe, neither of these songs were the only major hits by either of their perspective artists! I could go on, starting with Rod Stewart hits.
2000s: Aerosmith with Jaded
2010s: Jimmy Buffett featured in the Zac Brown Band song Knee Deep
2020s: Elton John with Cold Heart

The "mode" of a set of numbers is the single most common individual number in that set, even if the mean or median is something quite different. (For example, if you really want to be a little sh**t about it, the modal income in the US is zero because there are more children below the legal working age than there are adolescents or adults who make any individual dollar amount.) 1946 was the modal birth year because it was the beginning of the Baby Boom, the year all the babies were born from all the sex returning servicemen had with their wives after three to five years of chastity, situational homosexuality, and/or infidelity on other continents. The second half of 1945 in the US was basically a months-long honeymoon for millions of couples at once.
