Its an interesting paradox, because of the semiconductor dependence, we have to defend Taiwan.

Yet because of the semiconductor dependence, we cannot effectively defend Taiwan.


Somehow, I doubt this was the pipe dream of the idealists and free traders in the 1990s who insisted that Free Trade was the path to perpetual peace.
