I could see Joe Lombardo at Homeland Security if he beats Sisolak. Interior might be Cory Gardner. Mike Garcia at VA is also possible.

President: Ron DeSantis (R-FL)

Vice President: Tim Scott (R-SC)

Secretary of State: Richard Grenell (R-CA)

Secretary of the Treasury: Peter Thiel (R-FL)

Secretary of Defense: Douglas Macgregor (R-PA)

Attorney General: Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Secretary of the Interior: Yvette Herrell (R-NM)

Secretary of Agriculture: Kim Reynolds (R-IA)

Secretary of Commerce: Ken Griffith (R-FL)

Secretary of Labor: Scott Walker (R-WI)

Secretary of Health and Human Services: Ben Carson (R-MI)

Secretary of Housing and Urban Development: Vernon Jones (R-GA)

Secretary of Transportation: Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ)

Secretary of Energy: Alex Epstein (R-CA)

Secretary of Education: Glenn Youngkin (R-VA)

Secretary of Veterans Affairs: Ronny Jackson (R-TX)

Secretary of Homeland Security: Kris Kobach (R-KS)
Ted Cruz may fit the AG position, yet this will make that TX seat up in 2026 and may cause trouble.

Youngkin for the Secretary of Education is a waste. Should encourage him to run for the 2026 VA seat first.

Except it wouldn’t be if Cruz did not seek a third term in 2024.

Also VA-SEN in 2026 is probably unwinnable for Republicans with DeSantis.

Why not? His chance of nomination is asymptotically zero.

Because if he runs for POTUS he may not have time to get back into the Senate race because of Texas’s very early primary.
