Why is it that regardless of the state, year, or candidates, 9 times out of 10, Republicans poll better with Likely Voters compared to registered voters?

Republicans (still) perform better with wealthy, white voters who turn out at relatively high rates in non-presidential elections. Losses with this group in recent years are offset by increased turnout among poorer white voters, the primary feature of the Trump era.
