I'll be voting against this in any form. Fireworks are a public nuisance as well as being a fire hazard.

I understand PETA is lobbying hard against this bill.

Thank you, Mr. PPT. This is a free country so people should have the right to use fireworks.

I mean if we don’t want to start needless fires, how much does the “fireworks during federally recognized holidays shall not be infringed?”
Does this mean many firework restrictions in Atlasia are unconstitutional?

Abstain on the amendment.

I will also object to AFE's and Utah Neolib's amendments so we can see the Senate's opinion on this. I don't have much of an opinion on the proposed amendments yet. Therefore, I think it's better if this body as a whole decides if those proposed amendments should be in the proposed amendment that I sponsored. I don't know if that many of my fellow Senators have seen this proposed amendment or the proposed amendments to it, so they should have a chance to vote on the latter as they see fit at this time.

As the author of the original amendment, I love DC's amendment, and wouldn't protest AFE's getting added too.

Does this mean many firework restrictions in Atlasia are unconstitutional?

If we go off the 2nd Amendment to the IRL U.S. Constitution, firework regulations would be constitutional, as long as the right of private civilians to use them (on holidays) isn't infringed itself.

Aye on amendment.

I am working on a proposed amendment myself protecting the wearing of costumes, the raising and eating of meat, the donation of food, the display of decorations outdoors, the cutting of decorative trees, and the holding of parades all on holidays but I will wait for the other amendments to wrap up first. If yall can think of any other holiday traditions to protect let me know and we can incorporate them all.

NAY, anyways enshrining a right to firework ownership in the constitution is stupid, there's nothing more to be said here, maybe I'd support this if it was a bill rather than an amendment
