AGA for Lincoln Governor

I am happy to announce that I am running for governor of Lincoln as part of the Liberal ticket. Lincoln has been far too inactive lately, only having three bills introduced this session. My reform agenda will rejuvenate Lincoln politics by bringing much needed legislative reform. During my first term, I will focus on land reform and tax reform.

Land policy is far too inefficient in Lincoln, leading to high housing costs. Everyone should be able to afford a home. I will push localities to adopt a land value tax to encourage more efficient land usage. In addition, I will work to simplify zoning regulations to increase the stock of affordable housing.

Lincolnites are currently being crushed by high tax rates across the board. Businesses are fleeing to the South in droves to escape Lincoln's high taxes, resulting in less economic opportunity for Lincolnites. The reality is that we can dramatically slash taxes without cutting spending and still end up with a budget surplus. I will reduce taxes and simplify the tax code to make Lincoln more economically competitive. At the same time, I will make sure that essential services are adequately funded. Lincoln has had enough of the government enriching itself at the people's expense.

While we may disagree on some issues, Kaiser has been Governor for a long time and has also recently been neglecting the job. It's time for someone new to take the helm. Endorsed.

When you are elected, I'm prepared to take a comprehensive look at the budget. There are elements of the tax code that I do not love, but was forced to leave in place in past deals to not compromise other initiatives. That being said, keeping the region at a budget surplus is essential.
