After careful consideration, the Republic of Turkey changes its vote on the Polish motion to No. We support the right to Jewish self-determination, although Europe should remain in contention for these talks.

The reason why Europe cannot be an option it is because it is already overcrowded and the creation of a jewish state there would lead to mass déportation or a genocide. This is why the middle east is an attractive option because it is particularly undercrowded

Bulgaria abstains on the Polish motion for now, though we ask the Turkish ambassador where in Europe such a state could be created plausibly.

The following motions, due to the rules of the LON, only require a two-thirds majority:

Presented - on a separate basis - upon request by the governments of Ecuador, Afghanistan and Egypt, having taken the necessary states to request formal membership of the League:

The League of Nations resolves

To accept the Republic of Ecuador as a full Member of the League.

A MOTION
To the League of Nations

The League of Nations resolves

To accept the Kingdom of Afghanistan as a full Member of the League.

A MOTION
To the League of Nations

The League of Nations resolves

To accept the Kingdom of Egypt as a full Member of the League.

The Republic of Spain votes YES on the motion of Republic of Ecuador.

The Republic of Spain votes YES on the motion of Kingdom of Afghanistan.

The Spanish Government has concerns with the Egyptian motion. The British government operates a standing army in major Egyptian cities and maintains the right to full control of Egyptian military and foreign affairs. The British government also controls internationally recognized Egyptian territory with no input allowed by the Egyptian government in the Suez Canal Zone, much as the do the Spanish territory of Gibraltar. That being the case, the Spanish Government cannot acknowledge the Egyptian government as a free and independent polity at this time and therefore votes NO on the motion of the Kingdom of Egypt.

Bulgaria has no objections to these motions. We vote AYE on the accessions of Ecuador and Afghanistan, and we ABSTAIN on the accession of Egypt.

I have decided to vote against the admission of Afghanistan and Egypt to the League of Nations.

As long as my motion for the creation of the jewish state isn"t adopted, this is going to be Poland's stance.

A question to South Africa,
Why do you wish so much to annex a territory while you're already having the mandate???

Well we aim for it to become South Africa's fifth province and want it to have representation in the House of Assembly.

The Kingdom of Hungary votes "No" on the South African notion. The League has given you the authority to govern it as a mandate not as a province.

The Republic of Turkey votes Aye on the South African motion.

We are also disappointed to witness the Republic of Poland's act on this floor against Afghanistan and Egypt. This could only increase animosity among the applicants and lead to less headway in finalizing a Jewish state.
