Within the small segment of voters (smaller than it used to be) who always like the incumbent president, whoever they are and however things may be going. The president is after all the head of state and has a certain patriotic gravitas.

Ehh McCain only won Orange County by 2.5 points which was down from the nearly 20 point margin Bush had won it in 2004 and given demographic changes since then(generational counts in this) and many Conservatives leaving California I dont think there is that many voters who approved Bush in 2008 who currently strongly approve of Biden.

Keep in mind many people who voted for McCain probably disapproved of Bush by then and Bush almost certainly loses Orange County if he was the nominee in 2008 . Also keep in mind many Romney-Clinton voters were also probably Bush-Obama-Romney-Clinton in areas like this.

I would say the better county to use for this is someone who lives in Collin County Texas

I doubt many never-Trumpers would fit this category but the stereotype of one would. If one were to fit in this category, they would most likely be female, middle age, and UMC.

Huh, I thought they would have turned on Biden over Afghanistan.

Someone who really likes incumbents. Perhaps someone who felt the country was safer because of Dubya

I could see maybe an older Hispanic voter from Texas who generally votes Democratic, but is conservative-ish on social issues and had really come to like Bush over his ~14 years as governor and president.
