Manistee County, Michigan could be the only county where Cox topped Wilson. And Cox also put up the best percentage for a Democrat there between Grover Cleveland and FDR.

I don't know how to explain that though.

Yeah, I really am scratching my head on that one. It was at the time a huge logging area, but as for why Manistee would've been so big on Cox I can't say (especially since it's not hugely different demographically from those counties around it).
