On the GOP side, 1920 and 1924.  Republican margins were 26 and 25 points, respectively.  The high 20s-low 30s percentages for the Democrats were pitiful and were that only because of the vote in the South. 

And to point out something in today's world, the relatively big Socialist/Progressive vote in those elections was lost to the Democrats (not that they would necessarily receive it--the party was more conservative back then). 

Unlike 1972 and 1984, the Republicans took Congress and gubernatorial races in 1920 and 1924 by big margins as well. 

On the Democratic side, 1936 and 1964-- for similar reasons.
