I certainly don't agree much with Breyer's opinions but he served the court well.  I think I will feel the exact same way about her.

I hope she's actually good and not another Kagan.

Good chance she'll end up my favorite on the court.

Just for clarification... she will sit on the court starting in July 1st and Breyer no longer will? Or it's later than July 1st?

Its unfortunate that the first Black Woman justice is unable to define what a woman is, though

Definitely the biggest part of Biden's legacy so far. We at least have three Supreme Court seats solidified for another decade or two. That's still worth Biden being President during this energy/inflation crisis. The Supreme Court is equally as important as winning the presidency and Congress now. Forget trifectas, if a President (particularly a Democrat) wants to get anything done they need a quadfecta now.

Glad to see this happening. Fresh young blood on the Supreme Court, who happens to be female. And liberal. We need to see more of this.

At her confirmation hearings she said she couldn’t define what a woman is as she’s not a biologist

Well, what do you say a woman is? There are many different types of answers to this question.

Well, that’s the only biologically correct answer.

There are men who have had surgeries to “become” women, but they are trans women. No matter how many surgeries they have, they are still biologically male; just socially trans male.

Women, as in, human females, are defined by their two X chromosomes. Women aren’t just breeders, or bleeders.

One thing I'm curious about is if she takes over Sotomayer as the most "prominent" liberal justice with notable dissents, the same way Alito and Thomas are prolly tied for most notorious conservative justices. Kagan and Breyer really don't seem to get as much media.

And just like that, African Americans are over-represented on the Supreme Court by nearly double their actual proportion of the US population.

Women with androgen insensitivity syndrome (XY) or Turner Syndrome (just an X) aren't women in your eyes? It's just not always as simple as the XX/XY dichotomy we learned about in high school.
