The game is re-opened, let me know if there are questions I failed to answer. We resume as normal, but about to enter WW2 mode once another great power enters the present conflicts. I will let you know when that happens.

Gentlemen,

World War 2 has begun. Technically, we have several conflicts that are thus far unrelated, but that include most players and several great powers.

From now on, we enter a special mode. The war is assumed to have begun July 1st, 1938, right at the start of the summer.

Turns will be of six months now, but with less crisis per turn (otherwise I can't cope). Every midturn and endturn players will be able to send war orders (if not, they're assumed to be on the defensive, no penalties), so the war willl see three month updates (the equivalent of seasons). We continue until no major power (Japan, Italy, USSR, Germany, France, UK, USA and China) is at a war that involves another major power.

We will get the first war update on Wednesday (Summer 1938). Turn ends on Saturday night (war orders for Autumn 1938, plus your 1938 yearly orders).

I'll deliver more detail when needed.

Turn posted. So, here's where we stand.

The turn prompts and crisis cover 1939 as a whole. There will be smaller war turns of six months as before, with an update on the middle covering a season every three days.

I'll get the military numbers up tomorrow (Wednesday).

After I've done so I'll start counting the three days for the first war midturn (Winter 1939). To simulate the reduced war activity in RL during this season, all attacking armies will have a penalty of -1 dice in their rolls.

Military numbers updated. Three points to bear in mind:

1.- Divisions vary in size. This is to simulate the fog of war, as players can't be 100% sure of the size of the enemy in a given front.
2.- Air force quality considers machines and men. If your air force suffers crippling attrition, it will lose quality as well (think the Luftwaffe in 1944).
3.- The navy rankings consider the most powerful vessel each navy can field. Naturally, the Kriesgmarine is stronger than the Turkish navy - which has a single battleship - but they both qualify as "battleship-based".

Winter 1939 will last until Saturday night, players that do not send war orders have no penalty and go defensive, attackers will have a -1 dice roll due to the winter climate.

I've given more details on the Discord, but it's really an issue of burnout combined with an improving RL situation that keeps me from having the time and energy required to run the game due to its level of detail (and highly engaged playerbase).
