Assume that Evan Bayh ran for President in 2004 and was successul in winning the Democratic nomination. He selects retired General Wesley Clark as his running mate. How do you think a Bayh/Clark ticket would fare against Bush/Chenney in 2004? I see them holding all of the Kerry/Edwards states with the addition of Ohio and Missouri. Maybe Kentucky and West Virginia would also join the Democratic column.
