This series is redistricting maps off of the Wyoming Rule. All in all, there will be 573 districts, once every state is done.

Looks better than most of the crap in the NY redistricting thread. NY just looks ugly without 30 to 40 seats.

Hunterdon is only R + 4. The district also contains the 2 westernmost townships in Morris County, with the both of them providing just about a tie. Also, the southeasternmost 4 townships in Somerset have 136,000 people and netted Democrats 25,000 votes, providing them with a 35% MOV in those towns

The 7th has all this solidly R territory in the rugged hill country and is smaller than current CDs by default, and it is still only R+2.
The 7th takes in a sizable minority of Somerset County
I know. It's just interesting that area almost outvotes all those other areas.
Hunterdon is only R + 4. The district also contains the 2 westernmost townships in Morris County, with the both of them providing just about a tie. Also, the southeasternmost 4 townships in Somerset have 136,000 people and netted Democrats 25,000 votes, providing them with a 35% MOV in those towns
Ouch.
It's not 2004 anymore...
If anything, it's a testament to how red the Hill Country is that it still outvoted the suburban towns even with those towns swinging and trending left with higher turnout

Re. Connecticut with 6 districts. The coastal towns of Fairfield County are actually perfect for 1 district. Maybe something like this would be better:



No Towns are split (deviation between smallest and largest district is 0.62%). All Counties smaller than a District are kept whole and Districts larger than a County are kept within a single County.

2020 Presidential Stats are are (2016 is in brackets):
1st:Biden+36.27% (Clinton+32.58%)
2nd:Biden+13.04% (Clinton+5.44%)
3rd:Biden+11.32% (Clinton+3.58%)
4th:Biden+22.69% (Clinton+19.01%)
