He's not been convicted of a felony.  Let's look at what happened:

Quote
He was charged with three misdemeanors—careless driving, driving out of his lane, and operating a car while using a cell phone. Ravnsborg pleaded no contest to driving out of his lane and operating a car while using a cell phone; the careless driving charge was dismissed. Subsequent investigation and legislative proceedings resulted in Ravnsborg's impeachment by the South Dakota House of Representatives in April 2022. He was suspended from office while the South Dakota Senate deliberated, and on June 21, 2022, Ravnsborg was convicted and removed from office.

Pepole need to stop lying about Ravnsborg, esspecially those who lionized Ted Kennedy.  We don't cancel the accounts of posters for new misdemeanors.  He was not convicted of a crime of killing this unfortunate woman driver.  Would you want people to treat you that way?  Is it OK to do so just because Revnsborg is a conservative Republican.

Why is Fuzzy defending Ravnsborg? Fair enough, Ravnsborg doesn't have criminal intent like the people BRTD brought up, but the man killed a person! And you can't even call it an honest mistake because he chose to f-ck around on his phone while driving.

He was not convicted of vehicular homicide or negligence.  People are involved in car accidents every day where someone dies but it's not a crime.

If Favansborg was a Democrat, no one would be suggesting he be banned here.  But I'll say this:  Let every Democrat who wishes to ban Ravnsborg for this publicly condemn Ted Kennedy on this thread to  at least show a shred of fairness.

Nobody should be banned for offsite behavior unless they try and bring that offsite behavior on here. If Ravnsborg returned and started bragging about how he personally ended someone's life then he should be banned, but if he wants to come back and post about polling data for 2022 South Dakota state elections then he should be allowed to.
Would you support not banning Einzige if he wasn't already banned? How about unbanning Snowguy?

I don't know who those people are or why they were banned so I'm not going to comment, but seeing as how I'm willing to accommodate somebody who literally killed an innocent person that should indicate my stance on whether or not people's offsite behavior should be brought up on this website, again unless they bring it up first.
One was convicted of possession of child pornography including images of a 7-year old, the other is a registered sex offender who tried to solicit hiring minors for sex.

I'm assuming that the fact that anyone even knows this probably means that they somehow brought this drama into Atlas, which would fit my criteria for getting banned for offsite behavior.
Actually not really. Einzige is already banned so in his case as noted it's just hypothetical. Snowguy was discovered after some drama which did involve him engaging in property damage toward the apartment of another poster.

Both of these situations involve behaviors which indicate that they would be a potential threat to posters here, given that not every poster on Talk Elections is over 18.  That's waaaay different than Ravensborg, and that shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
