I think he would have done pretty well, but it would all depend on who he picked as his running mate.  For the hell of it, we'll just put Jack Kemp in there again.




Wilson would win with 279 evs, to Clintons 259.

 Wilson would win the popular vote by about 2%  He would get his boost to win the election by winning California by 7 points.

California would never have voted for Wilson over Clinton.  He killed the California Republican Party until Schwarzenegger's revival.  Hispanics would have turned out in droves of Clinton.

while i certainly dont believe wilson would have carried ca against clinton, you must keep in mind that wilson was riding a pretty good popularity wave from 94-96.  it was after that that the bottom fell out.
