So the Liberals are winning again in Canada? That's a damn shame. I grew up in Upstate New York and used to love visiting that country. But since Chretien became Prime Minister (now Martin) and they turned into a bastion of anti-US sentiment, I have engaged in a total boycott and have not been back since. If and when the Conservatives ever win power again, maybe I'll return, but I doubt it.

Well, it looks like the Liberals will win then.  I'd say the key was that voters didn't care much about the sponsorship scandal, and were more concerned about how Mr. Harper was too conservative on Charter issues.  Wait, what the hell am I talking about?

Oh well, forget Canada.  It is a silly place.

John Ford,

It IS a silly place, but it wasn't always like that. In the 1970's and 1980's this was a wonderful country to visit. It's such a shame what it has become. They have gone from being America's little brother to being Europe's retarded cousin all over the course of two generations...so sad.
