Thought the Governor-General selects the PM--usually the leader of the majority party...does it actually have to go to an yea/nay vote?

:rolls eyes:

I love canadian accents; especially BC and Nova Scotia.

I was in the final 3 for a scholarship to go on a student exchange to Canada; 10 months in Quebec and 2 months in Nova Scotia. Shame I missed the scholarship, it would have been nice.

Numbers are begining to trickle out of Quebec. If the Bloc can freeze out the Liberals, the Conservatives have a chance in Ontario.

Libs should grab 20-25 seats in Quebec.

So the Liberals are winning again in Canada? That's a damn shame. I grew up in Upstate New York and used to love visiting that country. But since Chretien became Prime Minister (now Martin) and they turned into a bastion of anti-US sentiment, I have engaged in a total boycott and have not been back since. If and when the Conservatives ever win power again, maybe I'll return, but I doubt it.

Indeed. It will be interesting how well the Bloc does now that they have gained a seat in Gasepie.
