DeSantis defeats Trump in the 2024 GOP primary and goes on to defeat Biden in 2024. Democrats regain the house in 2026 but GOP retains the senate. DeSantis replaces Clarance Thomas with another conservative justice similar to someone like Scalia (maybe a William Pryor) and maintains a decent approval rating between 46-55% throughout most of his first term.

Former President Joe Biden decides to stay in the spot light and announces a 2028 run before the 2026 midterms in order to remain relevant and he goes on to run the table in the democratic primary in 2028.

Who wins and what does the map look like?

Biden would be far too old and unpopular to run by then. This would be like running Carter against Reagan in 1980. But anyway...
