Alcon, Rockland County is not the richest county. It is middle class and swung heavily to Bush in 2004 (its also very Jewish). I think Orange County, NY is richer than Rockland but I'm not sure.

Nassau is way up there, along with Fairfield, CT; Loudoun, VA; and several in northern New Jersey: Somerset, Morris, Warren and Hunterdon.
