Surprised this hadn't already happened. I thought that the Church of England did this almost a decade ago, and that the CoS is usually more modernizing than the CoE on such matters.
The CofE still hasn’t allowed same-sex marriages, which is pretty shockingly out of step with public attitudes in the UK (you might be getting confused with the fact that same-sex marriage was legalised almost a decade ago now in the UK).
Huh. That's even more surprising. Must be thinking of when, as a dumb edgy teenage atheist, I was speculating about the Lords Spiritual tanking the bill in Parliament. Probably mixing them up with stateside Episcopalians too.
