Definitely. Virginia has traditionally been far more conservative than Maryland, but NoVA suburbs are coming closer and closer to voting like their counterparts on the other side of the Potomac.

Or look at how transplants from the Northeast and West Coast have changed the voting patterns of suburbs in Georgia, Texas and North Carolina.

Even suburban counties like Shelby (AL), Rankin (MS), Lexington (SC) or Williamson (TN). Pre-Trump, these counties were often the single most Republican in their respective states. They all remain safe R for now, but saw noticeable swings towards Biden.
