I'm bored and I have a sudden burst of energy so I guess I'll just start now During an appearance on Late Show he said he planned to run for president but he  formally announced his candidacy on April 10 he was the early Front Runner but during a forum debate he triumphs in it and and when the Alaska caucus happened he got 20% of the vote with Steve Forbes narrowly winning against Pat Buchanan next up is Louisiana that  goes to Pat Buchanan   and in Iowa  bob dole Iowa by an unexpected 6 Point margin and  Bob dole wins New Hampshire by a two-point margin and he also wins Delaware by a one-point margin and then he sweeps the February 27th contests then he wins South Carolina Pat Buchanan and Steve Forbes take their last stand in super Tuesday and Bob dole sweeps all the contests Steve Forbes and pat Buchanan drops out Bob Dole is officially the nominee
