AN ACT
To undo poor economic policy

Be it enacted by the Senate of the Republic of Atlasia assembled,

Section I. Title

This act may be cited as the Keep the Market Free Act.

Section II. EPC

The Economic Policy Commission (EPC) is hereby established.

 The commission shall consist of (1) individual selected by the President and (1) individual selected each by the Governor of Lincoln, the Governor of the South, and the First Minister of Frémont.

The commission shall conduct research and a study into the economic effects of the Worker Representation Act and The Wage Fairness Act. The EPC shall prepare a report of its findings, which shall be adopted only by an unanimous vote of the EPC.

The findings of the EPC shall be submitted to the Senate upon completion. The EPC shall cease to exist upon publication of its final report.

The sponsor of this bill speaks of “no economic policy research”. In that case, I think this amendment is a reasonable compromise.

Objection. This may delay repeal of the Acts until the left regains control of the Senate, rendering the repeal of the Acts impossible. I would be open to establishing a commission at the same time the Acts are repealed, and the Acts can be reinstated depending on the commission's findings.

Why didnt we do a commission BEFORE the radical changes were made? Returning to the status quo of March isnt radical.

Reiterating this. If we need to make changes to these acts then I’m fine with it but I will not vote for a blanket repeal.

The Wage Fairness Act and the Worker Representation Act are is repealed effective immediately.

Section III. Modifications

The Worker Representation Act shall be modified as follows:
-Striking "two-fifths" from Section 2.1 and replacing with "one-quarter"
