These are states that were ground zero for the listed candidates. Neither of the candidates got a single delegate (or in Clinton’s case, electoral vote) in the listed states.

Rubio - Florida (his home state!) - 3/15
Cruz - Indiana - 5/3
Clinton - Wisconsin - 11/8

Clinton conceded the general election before news networks even called it. Pennsylvania was ground zero for her, too. Maybe that’s the state that should be listed. Clinton even had her convention there! But FOX called Wisconsin early.

Two of the candidates were even favorites to win at some point. The one that I’m saying wasn’t is Cruz, but it was possible for Trump to be denied the 1,237 delegates. I believe deadlocks have happened before.
