Good thing there's never been any historical adverse effects of NATO expansion, such as increased geopolitical tensions and fostering armed conflict. Oh wait...

lol, okay

Back in the real world, "geopolitical tensions" (a nice euphemism for naked expansionist invasion by a larger power) seem to be a problem for non-NATO countries that happen to border Russia. It's pretty obvious that if we'd let Ukraine join NATO in 2008, Putin would never have invaded.

When we tried to let Ukraine join NATO in 2014, it helped to create and exacerbate a civil war in that country which directly led to the Russian seizure of Crimea

Ukraine has a massive Nazi problem but the West doesn't care because they hate Russia more.

You haven't provided any facts to back up that claim (just like the Russian government usually does), so I'll just say that reality unfortunately disagrees with.

Okay, I just don't leave it that, because here's a fact: The ultranationalist "Svobod" party which notoriously was a junior member in the Ukrainian government back in 2014, has held only a single seat in the 450-member strong Ukrainian parliament since the last legislative election in 2019.
Maybe their definition of "massive" is different to yours and mine?

Ukraine has a tiny Nazi problem just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

America has a tiny Nazi problem. Ukraine has incorporated Nazis into their National Guard.

Upending 200+ years of military non-alignment for... what, exactly? Is Sweden's security really at greater risk today than at any point since the time of Napoleon?

The Swedish Left Party is leading the opposition to this, but they'll doubtlessly be branded as nefarious Putinists.

Since the Nazi occupation of Norway at least, yes.

This isn't exactly rocket science levels of diplomacy.

Very large military aggressive country bordering Sweden and Finland invades neighboring country then threatens Sweden and Finland that they are next.

Sweden and Finland. Gee, we really don't want to be invaded. Hey nato, can we join you guys so it becomes highly unlikely will be invaded?

Nato. Sure, come on in!

Russia and various shills for putin. This is all NATO's fault!1!!

If Sweden's longstanding military non-alignment culture can withstand both world wars, then I think it can withstand a guy barely even able to conquer any of Ukraine.
