The odds of this are going up sooner than we think as the college wage premium erodes post-COVID. There's going to be some seriously wealthy plumbers/welders/roughnecks out there with a clearer path in Republican politics than anytime since WWII if they want it.
i think it's more likely that a star athlete runs for something one day, like a Lebron James or something like that.
the issue with the manual laborers is that they have to get high up into their organizations to get in position to earn the wealth they need, and that may take one of those online degrees now. Degrees are a bigger checkpoint than they used to be to get into leadership roles
