2008: Bill Frist/Chuck Hagel vs. Al Gore/Barack Obama

I just reciently played as Al Gore in the new President Forever + Primaries, I won the Democratic nomination and selected Illinois Senator Barack Obama as my running mate. On the GOP side: Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist won the nomination and selected Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel as his running mate and this is what the result was:

Frist/Hagel 60,999,531 52% (300 E.V.)
Gore/Obama 56,361,072 48% (238 E.V.)

But the question I am asking is how these ticket match up's would really go in a 2008 hypothectial?

Did who ever first suggested Frist as a serious presidential contender ever listen to him speak?

I love that game, but it isn't always dead on.

 I played a game where it was McCain/Brownback vs. Pelosi/Edwards, and Nancy Pelosi won the election, and also won Texas, Oklahmoa, and got 43% of the vote in Idaho..so...yah.
