Vice President Al Gore (D-TN) / Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) ✓
Businessman Ross Perot (R-TX) / Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN)

The highlights of Perot's campaign are a Balanced Budget Amendment, toughness on immigration, and opposition to NAFTA, which fire up the base but not crucial swing voters at the zenith of neoliberalism.

Perot gets destroyed, in particular because of his stances on abortion, taxes, and to a lesser extent gun control, which would be massively unpopular with the Republican base and lead to a right wing splinter candidate.
