How do you think 2016 would have turned out with Pennsylvania governor Tom Corbett as Republican nominee? Of course this assumes Corbett pulled it off in 2014 and got reelected to a second term.

Well Tom Corbett is probably more popular in this scenario. If he wins because of some freakish scandal, against say, Kathleen Kane, then he's probably weaker and loses to Clinton.

In recent years, I've come to the conclusion HRC may have lost against any halfway decent GOP candidate (does not include Jeb or Cruz). In a timeline that has Corbutt winning reelection against all odds, he may have pulled off this one, too.

Former SoS Hillary Clinton (D-NY)/Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA): 244 EVs.; 48.2%
