With Huckabee now about to jump in, the only people left in the "seem interested" category are Clark, Sharpton, Gingrich, Hagel, and Pataki.  Gingrich has said that he will not make a decision until September.  But I imagine that we'll be getting announcements, one way or the other, from Clark, Sharpton, Hagel, and Pataki before the end of February.

Jfern good work with the list and the updates.  However, since some of those who are on the list are no longer office holders (though they were when you started) such as Allen, pataki, Huckabee, Santorum and a few others you might want to put in FMR in front of those

How does someone who's "out" have a higher ranking than someone who's "in"? Doesn't make much sense. For example, who'd buy stock in Dick Cheney? He said he's not running. We know that for a fact.

More specifically, a week ago he said "I will make a decision here in the next couple of weeks. I have to if I’m going to get in the presidential race."

I like Clark but it just isn't going to happen for him. If anything he should try to snag the VP slot or a cabinet position.

Well, they were just rumors. For what it's worth, Clark is supposed to be at the Feb. 21st Democratic event in NV, so he could be considered de facto running.

Well, the Clark announcement was just a rumor.  But with Hagel, this is what he said three weeks ago: "I will make a decision here in the next couple of weeks. I have to if I’m going to get in the presidential race."

Looks like he's a bit later than anticipated in his decision making.  Or else he's made the decision, but just hasn't announced it yet.

Smith is a laughable candidate as he has never even held political office before, but his policies are great and exactly the kind I have been waiting for the rest of the GOP to adopt.

I'm sure that a lot of other libertarian leaning people would find his platform interesting as well.  http://www.smithforpresident.com/home
