Q3 has been withdrawn by WB

Q7 will 99% fail and is an act I sponsored on behalf of NYE as a favour to him.

Nevertheless, these are issues that came to the Senate floor within the past short while. Might as well see what the public thinks on those questions, among others, especially because dead legislation can always come back and often does (even IRL).

I think asking these questions is a bias too. There are lots of controversial proposals that aren't even asked in this poll. You focus on what you think what is controversial, not on what is supposedly objectively controversial.

For example:
- No question about the social security act, etc.
- No question regarding the Gold is Good act.

I never set out to ask every issue at hand. If you want you can create your own poll. Also, the poll isn't just "controversial" issues since I imagine a few issues are more strongly (un)popular such as the athletic scholarships bill and the Arctic Treaty bill.

I don't see how asking certain questions is "biased." I did my best to use fair wording, and that was not what you are complaining about. Instead, you are complaining since I didn't make my 8 question poll perhaps 20 or 30 questions long.

No poll sets out trying to ask everything.

ftr the trans-species students thing was mostly a joke, knee-jerk reaction to R's odd vote-counting (way too reminiscent of the WD days) that caused my amendment to fail. I considered something for students who consider themselves part of the furry fandom, but without a specific carve-out for them, saying you can't tell parents if their child is associating with online groups is likely a bad idea.

Fair enough. I appreciate the added insight. 👍🏾

Final Results

It's election eve so I closed the poll. I will account for individuals who voted more than once in some questions and for the undervote in some questions as a result. MoE in this unscientific poll is "technically" 0% unless otherwise stated.

Q1: Do you support changing the South's status in relation to Atlasia?
MoE = +/- 3.3%

No 67%
Yes, I support Southern independence 23%
Yes, I support a changed status of the South with Atlasia short of independence 10%

The coloring for Q1 was used as shown above since the answer most strongly in the affirmative for the question is independence and I used red for opposition and green for support on all questions.

Q2: Do you support the proposed incorporation of Greenland by the South?

No 65.5%
Yes 34.5%

Q3: Do you support protections for transspecies students in Atlasian schools?
MoE = +/- 6.9%

No 70.4%
Yes 29.6%

Q4: Who should Atlasia support in the Peruvian conflict?
MoE = +/- 3.3%

No one 60.7%
Castillo 21.4%
Boluarte 17.9%

For this question, black was used for the neutral option. I considered using red (the color of his former party) for Castillo but chose "neutral" colors for both him and Boluarte as both are Independents now.

Q5: Should Atlasia accept Pedro Castillo into Atlasia under a hypothetical travel-ban with Peru?
MoE = +/- 6.9%

No 63%
Yes 37%

Q6: Do you favor Supreme Court reform (e.g., term limits)?

Yes 51.7%
No 49.3%

Notably, Supreme Court reform in general only won a slim majority. Wulfric's survey (which is unaffiliated with this one) should provide more insight into what kind of reforms Atlasians want for Supreme Court, and in regards to changing the South's status, for those who favor that.

Q7: Should publicly-funded athletic scholarships be repealed?
MoE = +/- 3.3%

No 71.4%
Yes 28.6%

Q8: Do you favor the proposed Arctic Circle Treaty which would align Arctic countries with NATO?
MoE = +/- 3.3%

Yes 71.4%
No 28.6%
