Ka Hui Kūwaena o Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani
Central Headquarters of Hui Liliʻuokalani

Honolulu, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi

Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani demands an immediate cessation of the illegal and imperialist Atlasian occupation of kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina, the Hawaiian Islands. We also demand a recognition of and reparations for the generations-long genocide against Nā Kānaka Maoli, the Hawaiian people, perpetrated by the Atlasian government and its predecessor U.S. government, the legacy of which is sustained daily by the continued imperialist occupation and domination of our lands and people by Nyman and Denver.

The struggle for the national liberation of Nā Kānaka Maoli from the bonds of foreign exploitation is intrinsically also the struggle for the socialist liberation of the proletariat from the bonds of capitalist exploitation. The forced imposition of the capitalist mode of economy upon kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina by the U.S. government and American colonizers (and sustained today by the governments of Atlasia and Frémont) has resulted in the exploitation, degradation and privation of our people, land, resources, environment and way of life.

Nā Pahuhopu - Objectives:
Reaffirming the continuity of Hawaiian independence, sovereignty and self-governance;

Revitalizing the Hawaiian national identity, ʻōlelo and culture;

Preserving for future generations the natural resources and environment of kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina, so as to preserve also the Hawaiian national, cultural and spiritual identity to which the ʻāina, kai and wai are central;

Ending the capitalist exploitation of the Hawaiian people and Islands;

Throwing off the Atlasian imperialist-capitalist cultural mindset of competition and mutual degradation in favor of the Hawaiian principles of aloha, kuleana, pono and mutual aid;

Establishing relationships of solidarity with all the oppressed peoples of the world in their fight for national liberation, and among all oppressed workers of the world in their fight for socialist liberation, based on pacifist, anti-imperialist and anticapitalist principles; and

Deoccupying and decolonizing kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina politically, socially and economically through the means necessitated by our material conditions, including through the expropriation and recollectivization of our lands, resources and means of production.

This is only the latest southern filibuster into sovereign Frémontian territory. The Hawai'ian people enjoy full sovereignty and self-determination within Frémont; any attempt to break up the brotherhood of the free West serves only to strengthen our enemies: the evil southern imperialists and eastern warmongers!

Reducing the deeply felt desire to relieve the pain and suffering of a people long-oppressed by the boot of Atlasian and Frémontian imperialist tyranny to being merely a "Southern filibuster" is not only disingenuous but demeaning to all the Kānaka Maoli ko Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina—though not unexpected from the head of the imperialist government of Frémont. The First Minister fails to remember the very real filibuster in these islands which still wounds us to this day: the overthrow of our Mōʻīwahine Liliʻuokalani in 1893 by and for the capitalist-imperialist interests of Atlasians, particularly Frémonters, and the illegal occupation and annexation of our lands which followed. The thoughtless (or at least I would like to hope they were thoughtless and not intentionally injurious) allusions to the "sovereign" and "free" territory of Frémont ring hollow when our own homeland has had and continues to have its sovereignty and freedom denied it by both Nyman and Denver. Deflecting the responsibility to live up to and make amends for Frémont's own bloody, warmongering and imperialist past and present by instead pointing fingers at the militaristic imperialism of its Atlasian neighbors to the South and East may be a winning political ploy in the West, but it is no morally just answer for its misdeeds against our people.

In spite of the face of tyranny and imperialist coercion, we shall nevertheless remain ʻonipaʻa in our aloha ʻāina always.

Your pretty pretensions to paternalist protection may fool the dullards in Nashville, but they do not fool me. The Frémont parliament was formed by and for the historically oppressed and marginalized peoples of the West: it is an anti-imperialist project. YOU are undermining that project by encouraging Hawai'ians to break from solidarity with her sister states. You do not speak for Hawai'i or our Pacific brethren. Go back to Louisville, slaver!

The Frémontian project has always been one of imperialist subjugation of Hawaiʻi and her people because the forfeiture of Hawaiian sovereignty has never been legally agreed to by her people in the nearly 130 years since Liliʻuokalani's overthrow. The purpose of ka Hui Liliʻuokalani is to loose the chains which have forcibly bound these Islands to Denver and to Nyman against the will of nā Kānaka Maoli for generations and reaffirm the continuity of Hawaiian sovereignty and independence. Fighting against this national liberation is inherently and simply imperialist regardless of how anyone tries to spin it.

You are the one fighting against national liberation. You represent the imperialists who think they know what is best for Hawai'i! I represent the Hawai'ian people, who elected me to lead them. I do not take kindly to your sass!

Ah, yes. My dearest apologies, I must have somehow gotten the two of us confused. Clearly the voter registered in Hawaiʻi (who has never been a registered voter in the South or indeed anywhere else but Frémont) who represents only Hui Liliʻuokalani, a party based in Hawaiʻi dedicated to its national liberation, is the imperialist, and the Frémontian politician who opposes recognition of the continuity of Hawaiian sovereignty so as to appease the interests of the continental West is the true freedom fighter here. Thank you for clearing this up for me. Mahalo and much aloha.

Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani Official Statement on the Declaration of Martial Law
Honolulu, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi

There is no threat to Frémont's security coming out of Hawaiʻi, or coming out of anywhere else for that matter aside from the Office of the First Minister. Despite the provocations of the Frémont police state, Hui Liliʻuokalani and all poʻe Hawaiʻi aloha ʻāina do not resort to force to enact their objectives, unlike the invaders of 1893 or the occupiers of today. Like our Mōʻīwahine, we would rather have peace, even at the cost of personal suffering, than risk shedding a single drop of blood of any of our people. We are motivated not by hatred, or greed, or lust, or insatiable hunger for power, but by aloha, kuleana and pono.

The fact that the First Minister has taken this drastic action in light of the mere existence of dissent, of aloha ʻāina, is a testament to the Government of Frémont's despisal of democracy, self-determination and national liberation, and its immeasurable fear of losing a grip on the stranglehold it has over ko Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina. We have not yet even run any declared candidates for any office, let alone incited a filibuster. We have done nothing but simply exist,—just as poʻe Hawaiʻi aloha ʻāina have always existed and will continue to exist until our sovereignty is reaffirmed—but the existence of a people determined to be free is perhaps too much for the FM and the Government of Frémont to bear.

However, the Hawaiian people have overcome much more trying situations than this. In these difficult times, let us take comfort in our motto, the motto of Liliʻuokalani, oft repeated throughout the years but never any more poignant than it is today:

Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani NPC Status Referendum Campaign
Hale Aliʻi ʻIolani, Honolulu, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi

Today, Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani is officially kickstarting its campaign for a vote for Hawaiian sovereignty, a vote for the independence of ko Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina from the shackles of Atlasian and Frémontian tyranny, in the upcoming status referendum. We are gathered here at ʻIolani Palace to remember our kupuna, especially our Mōʻīwahine Liliʻuokalani, and give honor and hoʻokupu to them in today's struggle for the national liberation of nā Kānaka Maoli. It is perhaps fitting that we celebrate the launch of this campaign for the resurrection of Hawaiian sovereignty today, Easter Sunday, a day which epitomizes the resurrection and springing forth of new life of those who have sacrificed much and endured much oppressive hardship. The words of Liliʻuokalani ring as true today as they did in her time:

Quote from: Mōʻīwahine Liliʻuokalani
The people to whom your fathers told of the living God, and taught to call ‘Father,’ and whom the sons now seek to despoil and destroy, are crying aloud to Him in their time of trouble; and He will keep His promise, and will listen to the voices of His Hawaiian children lamenting for their homes.

The upcoming referendum will be a reaffirmation of what we have always known to be true, and what our kupuna, Liliʻuokalani and all poʻe Hawaiʻi aloha ʻāina who have come before us, professed to be true: nā Kānaka Maoli ko Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina form a sovereign Hawaiian nation; Hawaiian sovereignty has never been surrendered and continues to this day; the annexation and occupation of our Islands was and remains illegal; and our people fervently desire the realization of their sovereignty, liberty and independence. And, united in the spirit of Liliʻuokalani, her dream shall be realized once and for all!

Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani NPC Status Referendum Campaign
Kapiʻolani Pāka, Honolulu, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi

The polling places for the Hawaiian status referendum are officially open! The time to reaffirm our sovereignty, reclaim our independence and revitalize our nation is now! For far too long, ko Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina have been occupied, owned and oppressed by foreign capitalists (and, on more than one occasion, been put under martial law by them). But now we have the opportunity to liberate ourselves from the boot of Atlasian imperialist tyranny and construct a new future for Hawaiʻi, a future based not on ruthless competition but on mutual cooperation, not on infinite greed but on endless aloha, not on lawless manipulation but on pono and kuleana. A future which is not imposed upon us by Nyman nor Denver, but rather a future which we determine for ourselves.

The place in which we gather today to celebrate the opening of the referendum polls is, once again, one of particular significance. Kapiʻolani Pāka is home to the Royal Hawaiian Band, who in 1893 refused to submit to an oath to the illegitimate American filibuster government. It is fitting, therefore, that we sing today the patriotic mele dedicated to their aloha ʻāina, in a time in which we must again forswear the imposition of an illegitimate occupying force:

Quote from: Kekoaohiwaikalani
Kaulana nā pua aʻo Hawaiʻi
Kūpaʻa mahope o ka ʻāina
Hiki mai ka ʻelele o ka loko ʻino
Palapala ʻānunu me ka pākaha

Pane mai Hawaiʻi moku o Keawe
Kōkua nā Hono aʻo Piʻilani
Kākoʻo mai Kauaʻi o Mano
Paʻapū me ke one Kākuhihewa

ʻAʻole aʻe kau i ka pūlima
Maluna o ka pepa o ka ʻenemi
Hoʻohui ʻāina kūʻai hewa
I ka pono sivila aʻo ke kanaka

ʻAʻole mākou aʻe minamina
I ka puʻukālā a ke aupuni
Ua lawa mākou i ka pōhaku
I ka ʻai kamahaʻo o ka ʻāina

Mahope mākou o Liliʻulani
A loaʻa e ka pono o ka ʻāina
Haʻina ʻia mai ana ka puana
O ka poʻe i aloha i ka ʻāina

Make sure to get out to the polls and vote, for sovereignty, for independence, for liberty, for aloha ʻāina, for Hawaiʻi!

Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani
Commemoration of the Declaration of Rights

Keauhou Bay, Kona, Hawaiʻi

On this June 7th, we celebrate the 183rd anniversary of the promulgation of the Declaration of Rights by Mōʻī Kamehameha III on this day in 1839. This landmark document marked the first legal enshrinement of the long-established, inherent rights of nā Kānaka Maoli in an official written document and provided the framework for the first constitution of kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina published a year later. In this declaration, Kamehameha unequivocally upheld the traditional Hawaiian values of aloha, kuleana and pono through the realization of the individual's inalienable right to "life, limb, liberty, freedom from oppression; the earnings of his hands and the productions of his mind." It boldly declared that the fruits of the workers' labor belonged to them and not their masters. It also made abundantly clear that the purpose of democratic government is to wage peace, not war, and to protect all people equally under the law, defending Hawaiians from all forms of oppression. Today, we continue Kauikeaouli's vision to create an egalitarian society whilst struggling against the imperialist-capitalist oppression of the Atlasian state which continues to suffocate Hawaiʻi without reprieve.

Sense of place is particularly important in this struggle for our national liberation, nearly as important as honoring nā kūpuna, like Kamehameha III, who have come before us on this journey and fight for freedom. The significance of this place, Keauhou Bay, cannot be overstated. The birthplace of Kauikeaouli, its very name offers us solace and hope for our future just as it did at the time of his miraculous birth: Ke au hou, "the new current," "the new era." Today, we are again opening a new chapter in the history of Hawaiʻi, beginning a new era: one of the reaffirmation of Hawaiian sovereignty and restoration of the Kūʻokoʻa kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina!

Ka Hui Liliʻuokalani
150th King Kamehameha Day Anniversary

Kapaʻau, Kohala, Hawaiʻi

King Kamehameha I Day is always one of the most anticipated, celebrated and important days of the year throughout kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina, but this year it gains added significance as it is the 150th anniversary of the holiday first celebrated in 1872 and because it is the first to be celebrated fully since the COVID-19 pandemic ripped through Hawaiʻi and forced its cancellation in 2020 and 2021. We are proud to be gathered here at the original King Kamehameha I statue in Kapaʻau, Kohala, on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, the birthplace of Kamehameha, to celebrate, honor and give hoʻokupu to our Great King, the uniter of kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina. Although he is known as a warrior king, and rightly so given his unparalleled military prowess and strength on the battlefield, we also celebrate the fact that through his unification of nā Kānaka Maoli, he brought a new, unprecedented era of peace to the Hawaiian Islands which would go uninterrupted until the overthrow of Mōʻīwahine Liliʻuokalani in 1893 and subsequent occupation of our sovereign homeland by the American and Atlasian imperialist states. Today, in celebration of his legacy, we recommit ourselves individually and collectively, both as a party and as a unified nation, to the reaffirmation of the sovereignty, independence and peace which Mōʻī Kamehameha won for kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina two centuries ago. We shall overcome the imperialist-capitalist oppression thrust upon us by the Atlasian Empire. We shall win. And we shall be free.

Long live the name of Kamehameha! Long live a free and independent Hawaiʻi!
