I disagree that Arizona is a red state.

Tucson, San Antonio, Kansas City

Jacksonville I couldn't live in, too many Jags fans, otherwise it would be fine

St. Tony, KC...the rest, and I say this as someone that generally loves NC.

I've been to Camp Bullis.

San Antonio is actually pretty dope.

I wandered off by myself WAAAAAAY beyond the Riverwalk, and it actually snakes through residential neighborhoods.   I vaguely remember a library that was like a solid red brick building.

I think I could be happy in all but Jacksonville, which seems like an especially unattractive and unpleasant city.

I think I could be happy in all but Jacksonville, which seems like an especially unattractive and unpleasant city.

I always found it difficult to navigate around Jacksonville.  I have a pretty good sense of direction, but my first trip to the city (long before GPS days) I wound up crossing four different bridges over the St. John's River -- two of them twice -- before I found the hotel.

I do recall one of the locals taking us for lunch to a place called "JoAnn's Chili Bordello".  The chili was decent, and the decor was exactly what you'd expect from the name.

Charlotte. Easy choice.

San Antonio is a way back runner-up.

I'd be open to all of them in theory, though I have not actually visited all five.  Since the poll only let me pick one, I chose Charlotte.  My sister lives there and really likes it, and we are visiting next weekend.

All sunbelt cities are horrible, but San Antonio is the most bearable of this list.
