If you were told the following would take place in the next election cycle:

The Democratic nominee would win the P.V. but lose the electoral vote

Several states would unexpectedly land in the Republican column after voting Democratic for decades.

There would be a significant shift among WWC voters towards the GOP and white collar suburbanites towards the Dems.

The Democratic nominee would be a woman who would chose a senator from the South.

The Republican nominee would not be a politician but would chose a Christian Right stalwart to be VP

What do you think the electoral college would look like?

I wouldn't consider Josue Larose a non-politician, so, no idea.

It would be pretty easy to guess that Clinton would be the Democrat and that the Midwest would be flipping based on that criteria. Some people might correctly guess Tim Kaine as the running mate since he was on Obama's shortlist IIRC, but I would have guessed Julián Castro. The Republican is the tricky part. Obviously Trump was politically active around that time, although I doubt many people would have thought he would be this mystery non-politician candidate. I would have assumed that was there to trip people up and that the nominee wouldn't be a politician because they were retired, or maybe, maybe it was Ben Carson or Carly Fiorina? Absolutely no one would guess Pence as the running mate, "Christian Right stalwart" could refer to any of the more noteworthy people in the GOP.
