Player Crises

General Overview

It has been nine years since Daeron II ascended to the Iron Throne, succeeding his father, Aegon IV. Daeron has largely reigned as a good king, his marriage to Myriah Martell and subsequent diplomacy having finally brought Dorne into the realm for good. The realm and court have largely been stable, a marked contrast to the reign of his father.

But a growing alliance is beginning to rally around Ser Daemon Blackfyre, an alliance opposed to Dorne. An alliance that questions the King's very legitimacy to sit the Iron Throne . . .

King Daeron II
Prestige:
9/10 (King on the Iron Throne; brought Dorne into the realm)
Gold: 500,000 GD (royal treasury)
Legitimacy: 7/10 (Heir of Aegon IV, but doubts about parentage remain)

-Good evening Your Grace. As the realm enters its ninth year of your reign, many at court continue to celebrate your having brought Dorne into the realm without bloodshed, thus succeeding where your ancestors, even the great Aegon I himself, succeeded. What will be your overall plan for developing the realm in the years ahead?

-The coalition that has been gathering around your half-brother Daemon is troubling. With his effortless charisma, many have been charmed into allying against the supposed Dornish influence in your court. How will you deal with this?

-There is also the matter of the North. The Skagosi have rebelled against the Starks, and the fighting has been unexpectedly fierce. Will the Iron Throne lend its support to end this rebellion, or must the Starks deal with it themselves?

Ser Daemon Blackfyre
Prestige:
8/10 (greatest knight in the realm)
Gold: 75,000 GD (personal treasury and incomes)
Legitimacy: 7/10 (Legitimised bastard, but doubts about Daeron's parentage)

-Good to see you, Ser Daemon. You have the reputation of being the greatest knight in the realm, much like your namesake, and you also possess the Sword of Kings itself, Blackfyre. THis is undoubtedly a powerful reputation; how do you plan to utilise it?

-The coalition gathering around you to oppose Dornish influence is something of an odd one; made up of a smattering of Marcher Lords and secondary houses. Some may genuinely support you, but many may also see you as little more than a convenient way to boost their own power. What will you do?

-There is equally the matter f those who oppose you. Your half-brother Bloodraven despises your favoured brother Aegor, a feeling that is plainly mutual. The sons of your father seem to be divided between yourself and Daeron. Will attempt to heal this rift or widen it?

Ser Brynden 'Bloodraven' Rivers
Prestige:
6/10 (bastard son of Aegon IV)
Gold: 25,000 GD (Blackwood treasury)
Legitimacy: 5/10 (legitimised bastard)

-Welcome, Ser Brynden. You've been welcomed back at Raventree Hall with open arms, much  to your susprise, given your frosty reception in King's Landing. Your marriage to Shiera Seastar is now confirmed as well. Yet,there is something looming in the future . . . you can feel it.

-Your enmity with your half-Brother Bittersteel is legendary, and he has now allied himself to Daemon Blackfyre. This alliance could be troubling to Daeron, and he is seemingly unwilling to do the hard things that need to be done. Where exactly will you draw the line?

Ser Quentyn Ball
Prestige:
7/10 (Red Keep Master-at-Arms)
Gold: 10,000 GD
Legitimacy: 7/10 (Knight and Master-at Arms to the royal family)

-Ser Quentyn, Good Evening, You have been Master-at-Arms in the Red Keep for sometime, and trained most of Aegon IV's bastards. Among them has been your star student, Daemon Blackfyre. There can be little denying that you and Daemon have established a personal friendship as well. How will you leverage this?

-You were were promised a spot on the Kingsguard by Aegon IV some time ago, but now that bastard Daeron II has decided to act as if such a promise was never made! Surely, the son of a King could never be this dishonourable! Then again, perhaps Daeron is not the King's son at all . . .
