Maybe someone who had a particular animus towards LBJ for his past racism that even the Civil Rights Act didn't alleviate?

An ultraconservative Catholic from IL who doesn't think Goldwater is actually racist and supports the VRA (and believes Goldwater will, too).

The only thing I could think of would be a black from Alabama who somehow managed to pass the literacy test and pay the poll tax and reluctantly voted for Goldwater since instead of LBJ the state had a slate of unpledged democrats who were Wallace loyalists.
