  Setting aside the two questionable polls (one an Democratic internal) from the five reputable polls of the seven released in the past week gives the race as being somplace between D+3 and R+1. 

Umm......not quite. The average of the last five polls on this race has Cardin with a 7-point lead:

D+3 is the lowest Cardin's lead could possibly be right now, not the highest.
