Scalise, who seems to be more respected by his colleagues (especially after the baseball shooting back in 2017 in which he nearly lost his life), and who is next in line after McCarthy. I could see McCarthy being challenged by another member of the caucus for the post, while Scalise would win the Speakership with little difficulty.
