This occurs as the Morning Consult reports a 49% Disapproval, 43% Approval Rating for Joe Biden

I think some of these differences (especially regarding DeSantis) have to do with low name recognition.

Biden ended up with +8 against Trump in the final Morning Consult in 2020. The tipping point state ended up being Wisconsin, where Biden won by 0.63%.

It's believable that voters would disapprove of Biden but still (unhappily) vote for him given the alternative.

The poll also includes a hypothetical matchup between Biden and Republican Candidate, where the Republican candidate isn’t named.  Without a name, the GOP nominee does much better than any named candidates:

Biden isn't campaigning for Prez or Midterms it's silly to keep polling Prez matchups 1000 days from an Election

National polls this far out are meaningless and I could imagine Biden improving once he starts running for reelection. That was always the case an incumbent prez, including Mr. Trump. His numbers may actually drop once he's back in the spotlight.

Not much to learn here other than confirming Cruz is one of the weakest possible GOP candidates. Race would be likely with him facing Biden, even Lean D with Harris.
