As he was probably a leftest, he would vote either Democratic or some left-wing third party, usually the latter, as Kurt was anti-establishment.

I don't think he would have or ever voted in his life.
He did perform at a benefit concert against an anti gay ballot measure in Oregon so I don’t think electoral politics were entirely off his radar.
