With the exception of children, non-citizens, and disenfranchised felons, everyone can vote and I would always encourage everyone to vote. Making your voice heard is important, voting is a civic duty, and I am a believer of "don't vote, don't complain".

Moving when you are dissatisfied with your government is either a) a last resort that should only be used when you are at serious risk of discrimination/persecution based on your identity or b) a luxury for those with the means to pick up and move their entire lives.

Running for office yourself or becoming an activist are much bigger time and financial commitments, and I don't think anybody should be reasonably expected to do this.

I very much disagree with the "if you don't like it, leave" mentality. If nobody ever tried to fight for change, nothing would ever get done.
